Waste of air if you ask me, an Albertan. Right wing American lobbyists should stick to their side of the border.

I’ve asked everyone I know who’s signed, straight up why they’re a traitor and want to separate. The answer has been unanimously that they don’t want to, they just want to make a point. I prefer to not give the measles spreaders any airtime, so this should have been denounced by the govt from the get go.

Are American lobbyists involved

Just curious, but what was the issue I believe back in the ‘90s when some of the Canadian western provinces threatened to secede over something related to Quebec issues? I’m only asking because I don’t remember.

Isn’t this guy head of the Church of England. Didn’t he invite Muslims into Windsor to celebrate the end of Ramadan.

I guess I don’t understand his whole “Defender of the Faith” oath.

Likely a health issue, at least let’s hope it is something of the sort and not a slap in the face of Christianity.

Good point!

Didn’t the western provinces want American bacon instead of Canadian bacon and Quebec wouldn’t hear of it?

Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth asked Gen. Randy George, the U.S. Army's top officer, to step down from his position and immediately retire, according to a Pentagon official.

George had served as the chief of staff of the Army since 2023. Hegseth wanted someone who could better implement his and President Donald Trump's vision in the Army.
Hard to find an officer more respected than George within the Army. I have a growing sense that the National Guard Major imitating a Defense Secretary struggles with facing that whole best apolitical uniformed advice thing. It is not hard for me to imagine an Army COS describing in brutal detail to Hegseth's frustration just how little actual combat power the Army commitment to SOF represents in theater. Also, apparently Driscole, the Army Secretary, despises Hegseth. Both are appointed by the President. That puts any Army COS in an awkward, even impossible position.

If the Iranians played things smart (Im doubtful that they will).. theyd hold tight, continue to take the beating (there isnt much they can do about it), and periodically launch another missile or drone attack if for no other reason than to be able to save face, tell the world they resisted the great satan, etc..etc.. and do little else.. which would encourage the US to leave once all of the strategic targets are destroyed (again, at this point there is little to nothing they can do about it anyway.. their air defenses are gone, their air force is gone, etc).. protecting strategic targets is entirely a defensive game for them at this point.. theyve got to hide them the best they can.. and things like army bases, naval ports, air force bases, IRGC buildings, etc.. are pretty hard to hide..

The US civilian population will grow tired of higher gas prices.. and the military will leave..

Strike one naval ship though.. and all bets are off... let there be a mass casualty event happen, and the military and civilian population will rally and there will be people demanding that we roll over tehran and kill every remaining member of the regime..

They can continue to hit a Saudi refinery or a Kuwaiti train station or a Qatari apartment complex once a week or so.. and we'll be gone in a few weeks..

But let them hit a USMC gator barge.. or one of the cruisers roaming around the gulf... and it will indeed turn into a long war..
"Strike one naval ship though". That's the key IMO and Iran isn't stupid enough to do that.... yet.

Absolutely egregious and unnecessary IMO especially during a war.

They have certainly tried hard enough so far, and I personally believe the possibility is why we have yet to attempt convoy operations. Lose a super tanker and an Arleigh Burke in the straits and the press and three quarters of the American people will declare the campaign a failure.

It appears the biggest strike against George was being a Biden nominee.

Invading western Europe?
For what? This is the key question, please memorize it till I get down to point.

Soviet union, was communist regime having doctrine of spreading and supporting communist idea and revolution globally.
The threat of communist ideology spreading globally created the Nato.

Next what happened soviet union collapsed, and Russia turned to capitalist system.
Soviet communist system collapsed.
No more communist spreading doctrine.
Cold war was won by west.

So, now with modern capitalist Russia we come back to basic question of the reasons for Russian invasion:

Why should they invade?
- Oil? Nope. They have it.
- Gas? Nope. they have it.
- Rare earth minerals? Nope. They have it.
- Territory? Nope. Largest country in the world, with large depopulated mainland areas, yet to be populated. Not to mention the largest portion of arctic they already control for resources.

Generally speaking, Europe, the old continent poor and exhausted with natural resources, has nothing to offer what "imperialist" Russians would find worthy of invasions.

In order to launch invasion, a country regime needs to announce this policy, and inform its own populations. Generally, building a pro-war sentiment and national public opinion takes years to build by state propaganda.

So, far Russians never stated any claim against any European (EU) or Nato state. They were just fine doing business with them selling cheap oil and gas. Until we cut them out from business.

Winter 2021: I was working in Kierkeness. Most remote arctic Norwegian town, on Russian border.
Population sentiment was friendly. Russian fishing fleet refueling there, etc... Fishery agreements well established, all smooth, no frictions, easy border crossings, mixed marriages, etc.

Next we come down to what is general population in Europe, and how they form the opinion?

Well, we are multicultural, multiethnic, and multireligous society.

So we have diversity starting from traditional communities, up to first, second or third generation of Immigrants.
Traditional communities are generally divided in left or right political spectrum, and then Pakistani, Indian, Moroccan, Fare east Asians, Chinese, withntheir views, etc

And they all look differently at everything, including Russia.

The same present main stream (anti Russian) political narrative does not sit equally to each of these groups, and in general, I think all of them just want what Europe was promising once: Stable economy, friendly community, joint market, and good living.
The immigrants did not arrive here to fight with Russians.
Traditional Europeans family (German, British, French, you name it), generally with one child, does neot want their one and only to die on eastern front.

I find this to be joint sentiment and the dream for peoples across the Europe.
The dream of good life, not a war of attrition, what generally becomes from war with Russia.

And as the war in Ukraine brings no fruits, the sentiment over the conflict is people are tired of this endless war, pointless money wastage, disastrous human losses, while the prices grow, and the living standard drops....
Why should they invade? Because Putin has mentally ill delusions of "grandeur" to reclaim the previous lost USSR territory. Not unlike Hitler's thinking of reclaiming lost German territories. See, you missed one. LOL

True. But not to Driscole, who has supported him.
I just looked at the bio of the Vice Chief of staff, who apparently will be nominated to replace George. Definitely a Hegseth guy and while everyone who reaches this level usually has an impressive resume, I noticed the absence of attending the war college. While not unheard of, somewhat rare.

Like every active duty General Officer, he was a War College selectee. However, not every selectee goes to the actual War College. Some with special skills or backgrounds attend equivalent very competitive studies. For instance, though an Army War College selectee, I held a fellowship at the Walsh School of Foreign Service, Contemporary Arab Studies, Georgetown University, while other selectees went to Harvard, or other major universities, or other service War Colleges. One of those alternatives is as a Senior Command and General Staff College's Advanced Operational Art Studies Fellowship (a far more advanced version of the SAMS course offered selected majors following staff college.). He is very much a War College selectee and graduate. However, as you suggest, LaNeve was Hegseth's military assistant before being nominated to the VCOS position. I have no doubt he has a high level of personal confidence in him.

Well, MAYBE if she had actually prosecuted even one Democrat she would have kept her job...pathetic. Patel should get busy as well. What do they think they were hire to do--let the swamp creatures continue to dominate?
although i agree with you, due process requires warrants, evidence, etc. and takes a while.

i do share your frustration tho. making the criminals pay and go to jail is the only way to stop things from happening again.

The number I’ve seen are running around 50%. I’m not sure if that includes inventory that has been collecting dust on store shelves which could greatly skew numbers.
Thank you for the honesty; even at 50% I see that as millions of law abiding Canadians giving a vote of no confidence in their government.

I’m not hoping for any kind of violence in any way, but this is the kind of real dropping the puck kind of message I’ve been anticipating for some time.

Hi - the only (best) method of sending you the .375/06IMP data is with photographing my book notes. My camera died so the only way I can do it is with my phone. To do that, I would need your e-mail address, as this
new Android phone is too complicated to upload to my desk computer, which would be easier and to down-grade, reduce the file sizes.
Best wishes

Hey Steve, This is Steve Washington we met at KMG last year. I am interested in your Winchester. Would love to speak with you about it. I work third shift and I cannot take a phone with me to work. Let me know a good time to call during one of your mornings. My phone is [redacted]. Live in Florida so I have to account for the time difference.
Look forward to hearing from you.
