The U.S. has no choice but to intervene in Iran. The sophistication, lethality and range of the Iranian missiles was growing exponentially every month.

All accumulated to guard the emerging Nuke program.

How many still ask why does the U.S. care or why is the U.S. responsible.

It’s very simple. Read my post a page or two back on the petrodollar.

It’s like taking a loan from the Mob. The US made a deal decades ago to protect Saudi Arabia and other GCC members. In trade, those members would only accept US dollars for Oil. The “Petrodollar”

If the GCC decides the U.S. is not upholding their end to protect them from Iran. They would all have nuclear weapons programs themselves and decouple themselves from the Petrodollar which would tank the world economy and most likely move the Reserve Currency to the Chinese Yuan.

It’s more than oil. It’s the Petrodollar

So not only as the U.S. protecting the world from nuclear Armageddon, it’s protecting the world against an economic collapse.

Oh I agree. I 100% support this operation.

I was specifically speaking to him because he has said we should not have intervened in Iran in the 50s, 60s, 70s but we should have intervened in Afghanistan more because...Republicans are bad or oil is bad, or MAGA said or something.

Is it not mostly the US that would face an economic collapse should the petrodollar fall? Obviously there would be consequences for the world economy aswell but most severe for the US since it would make it much harder to finance the US debt.

I would add to that last sentence, "and protecting the US national interests".

Believe what you like. Enjoy the inhale and check back in about 20 years. Someone will have to live with or pay for the consequences. A major factor in vehicle accidents now attributed to either pot and/or alcohol. Justify one by comparing to another is a common rationalization, as stupid as it is. One of the sales pitches local govs used for licensing pot shops is the revenue generated by the pot shops…. so the local govs could deal with the negative effects of pot use. All done wink wink of course. Not to mention the proven carcinogenic chems and accelerated emphysema. Enjoy!

If susceptible to alcoholism might as well go grab another bottle or case of brew to enjoy for the March madness party. Perfectly legal after all ;)
Now hit me with the “I know you are but what am I?”

Oh and carcinogens are so bad…. But we still sell cigarettes and tobacco while your age ilk complains about vaping because it offends you so much but the real reason is that you absorb MSM talking points while denying that all the hullabaloo over vapes is because the government hasn’t figured out how to tax them yet.

I’m sorry that everything you don’t like isn’t illegal…. Anymore.

Sometimes it is not about policy or politics but just plain old competence. An administration needs serious and professional people to carry out tasks and maintain functional credibility. This administration is sorely lacking on that front. The DOJ is a disaster. They even looks like idiots on awards:

"Press secretary Karoline Leavitt said “This is fake news. Bill Maher will NOT be getting this award” while communications director Steven Cheung posted on X that the Atlantic story was “literally FAKE NEWS.”

First off you have to wonder why two senior officials would bother to make public comments about an award for comedians other than the fact that their boss is too pop-culture obsessed and a tad thin skinned. But if they do say he "NOT" be getting an award, you think they might actually get it right.

Of course now he gets it awarded to him.

I knew your post was posed as a question. I should have made it clear I was responding to back up your post.

Professionalism…… Really?

Do you not remember the ass clowns of the previous administration?

Seriously- the head of nuclear waste that was handed his job because he’s some gender queer blah blah blah that matched the narrative at the time.

Yes- the same cross dressing idiot that got caught stealing women’s luggage at airports and wearing their clothes in public was in charge of our nuclear waste.

I typically have little time for John Bolton… I dont care for him politically… and I don’t care for him personally (I had occasion to interact with him and his team multiple times between 2005-2006 when he was the UN Ambassador)…

But there is little to disagree with him on in that interview I think… he bullseyed it IMO..

So your argument is because the last administration was incompetent that it is okay that this one is incompetent? So can an illegal immigrant murderer argue he is not so bad because a citizen also committed a murder the year before?

Great way to win a race to the bottom.

Your attitude, if enough others buy into it, is literally the death knell of American exceptionalism.

Some of you guys, and you know who you are, could really benefit from reading this.

I’ll take that back.

Some are so clueless they don’t have a clue that they have a problem

Actually my argument is the choices we had were Kamala and more, possibly a lot more, of the same incompetence we had just survived for four years or Trump and the administration we have. I believe we made the correct choice given the circumstances.

Oh good gawd man. Why are you so obsessed with American politics and what constitutes American exceptionalism? And who the fuck are you to tell us how things should be? You don't live here, and you don't vote here
If you truly are Canadian, shouldn't you be focused on your countries path to exceptionalism, instead of the constant bitching, complaining, and hair pulling, about what goes on south of your border?

The constant blathering anti Trump administration diatribe from all of you non USA citizens , is like listening to a fucking room full of whining toddlers. Good grief

I guess the anti Trump trolling spew makes your tiny mind feel better.

Your attitude, if enough others buy into it, is literally the death knell of masculinity.

Man up, and grow a pair.

@Big_Easy , you say you grow your own pot so I assume you also use it. So how do you get around the question about illegal drug use on the background check?
I believe they still ask this but I may be mistaken, it’s been years since I’ve bought a new gun.
Just looked it up , yep they still do.
You assume too much. @Jeff505 asked about my views to get a deeper understanding of my position. He didn't ask about my actions. Eagerly awaiting the SCOTUS case on this though.

The analysis certainly was eye-opening and unexpected. I and others receiving it didn't dismiss it out of hand though. Let's reconvene in 30 years. :-)

Sounds like whichever military you served in desperately needs to find new analysts to me…

I would have fired them on the spot for wasting my time and my staffs time unless they could bring hard data to the table that validates their determination along with evidence that their own personal bias was removed… anyone that can do basic math, understands the US military, understands the USMC, and understand the fundamentals of force forecasting would look at any report that remotely resembles what you describe as valueless drivel..

But sure.. let’s reconvene in 30 years… I mean the first 20 years prove that any nonsense they were advocating has been proven completely untrue.. so let’s keep wasting our time for another 30 years monitoring the same nonsense…

That’s actually laughable..

FWIW, I am not a Marine.. I was a solider years ago before I moved into defense consulting before I moved into defense contracting.. I now sit on the board of multiple defense firms and am CEO of a defense services firm that focuses on consulting services... So I do indeed know what proper defense analysis products look like, how they should be developed, how they get presented, etc.. you've tapped right into the heart of what I do for a living and have done for decades..

Hello,

Am I reading your post correctly to say that the Tsavo rifle will be coming out with a composite stock later this year? I ask because I had been looking very hard for a Tsavo, but if there is going to be a composite stock model I will wait for that.

Thank you for your time,

Andrew

Saw your post. Nice. Denver too. Genesee area (just off 70) if ever up this way. Alternatively, do you have a membership at GGC? Whatever, you'll have a wonderful time in Africa. Enjoy.
