Do you walk into a gun store and buy guns off the shelf without showing ID ?

After all the alcohol argument is pointless....you don't have a constitutional right to buy booze; yet you do for guns and you still have to show an ID, just like when you get on an airplane that is regulated by a federal agency.

The rules are written for our firearms and I am not supportive of them and here in Oregon they are going to get a lot worse with 114 going into effect. This is history and is an up hill fight. So far the SAVE act hasnt been voted into law. It is still possible to fight the SAVE act. If given a choice I would not want either.

We arent discussing probable vs possible. We are discussing that there is an issue. We are debating the size of the issue and whether it requires remediation. You say no until it changes the outcome of an election.

I think we also need to define fraud, if someone is not required to show ID and they vote, how do you retroactively prove that someone isnt who they said there weren't any guard rails in the process.

Much like ballot harvesting, it is legal, then no laws are broken. Doesn't make it the best system to ensure election integrity.

I am not looking for a freebie but I also believe in not having to do something that in my 40+ years of voting I have not had to do to fix a problem that doesnt exist. I have many forms of ID, everything from DD214's to a birth certificate. When I registered to vote I proved who I was why should I have to do it again. They have yet to prove in a court of law that voter fraud swayed an election. When they do I will support it until then - No!

I have a hypothesis - this isnt as much about illegals voting as it is about trying to control the democrats. I would bet a larger number of mail in ballots are cast by democrats and democratic states. Oregon only uses mail in ballots. The best way to get rid of mail in ballots is to make it vote in person hence the need to show ID. Tear my idea apart as I could be wrong. I have yet to hear about a court case where voter fraud was proved.

just a thought on the poorly educated. pretty much everyone in america has access to a high school diploma. now if they skip school, become a gang member, quit, etc it is in fact their own problem for being poorly educated.

In the inner cities there is a large percentage of single mothers where the older kids drop out of school in order to support their families (either legal or illegal methods). So, it is not their fault for being put in that situation. Unfortunately, the cycle continues.

The IRGC through predecapitation standing orders or on their own thought striking the gulf states to put pressure on America to stop bombing hasn’t worked. They also expected/hoped for mass protests in Cairo, Karachi, Jakarta, Casablanca etc. That didn’t work. Instead they got minor protests in Paris, London and NYC.

The IRGC/Basij is on life support and the only thing they control that makes an impact is the SoH. Which is certainly important to most of the world. This is not to say the IRGC can’t cause chaos for awhile but without the backing of the civilian population their ultimate fate is sealed.

He’s hardly begging the Europeans for help he’s setting himself up so that he can say fuck Europe they can pay whatever it takes for oil they wouldn’t contribute to securing their own supply. He literally gives zero fucks what the rest of the world thinks about him hell he gives zero fucks what half of America thinks of him. Europe and Canada not helping to secure the straight just plays into his hand of fuck them guys they won’t help themselves so why should I give them any breaks and his political base eats it up.

Begging for help would entail the U.S. military couldn’t do it on there own, if the U.S. military so desired there would be a Burger King in Irans capital in a matter of weeks. His asking for aid is an opportunity for Europe and select other countries to help themselves that they are squandering.
