I’m pretty sure we established yesterday that compared to the $8T the US spent on Iraq and Afghanistan, that the $200b request for Iran funding isn’t really that much money compared to the scope and perceived value in eliminating the Iranian threat(s)..

Risk is relative… I dont see those destroyers or any of the other US warships doing anything to escort ships with foreign flags through the straits.. that call already went out to the world and the world responded… and the world will suffer the consequences of its response…

They will however secure US interests… which is something they’ve already been doing… and once the two MEUs reach theater and there are even more destroyers as well as attack aircraft in place as well as two sizable raiding forces… things are likely going to get very spicy for the Iranians..

$150b was spent on other programs like food and housing for illegal immigrants.. what else could that money have been spent on?

Different administrations have different priorities..

How much money did the EU spend on programs last year that you think was inappropriate? What else could it have spent money on? Why did it choose to spend money on programs you don’t support but instead spent money on programs someone else wanted?

The USA has labelled both Canada and the EU as threats to their "National Security" in order to justify new duties declared by their military Commander-in-Chief on the international trade of steel and aluminum. So I suggest that USA made products such as firearms and ammunition should be sold exclusively within the USA so Canada and Europe can help our esteemed neighbour defend themselves and improve their national security. Sadly, I have come to the conclusion that Canadians and Europeans should make do with their own products exclusively.
