That dumb loudmouth bimbo was in way over her head from the get go. Shameful the Senate would have approved someone for that obviously delicate job who really isn't qualified to do anything beyond cleaning toilets in the Capitol building. Time for her to get under the bus ... one way or the other. Speaking of under the bus, I see Bovino has received orders to pack up. His career is over. If it comes to impeachment for Noem, and it should not, I expect more than a few Republican legislators would reluctantly approve. They need to be looking for their own damage control this close to midterms. And they are in the lifeboats ready to cast-off. Trump sacking that useless gal would go a ways to keeping them hanging on. The problem is Trump has surrounded himself with so many incompetent "advisors." Will ejecting Noem be enough to save the ship? Certainly, if she isn't ejected by Trump, I think the boats will be in the water.

Careful about being distracted in Iran. Imaginary weapons of mass destruction in Iraq comes to mind. Speaking to many US and Canadian veterans of Middle East conflicts, they universally agree that region is the shithole of the world. Anyone who intervenes to help human rights violations there today becomes everyone's enemy tomorrow. We should also not forget what a terrible failure the glorious "Arab Spring" turned out to be. Brutal jihadist thugs replacing dictators. How did that work out? Trump needs to approach the Iran rebellion/revolution CAUTIOUSLY. But he does NOTHING cautiously or carefully. For one thing, I think it is best to distance any intervention from thoughts of reinstalling the prince in Iran. Remember that the shah was a puppet monarchy created by the Brits to get control of oil. His legitimacy was always questionable.

I'm not saying the US should ignore what's happening in Iran. Just be careful. And being careful is not what this administration is about. It feeds on flash.

Typical MAGA response. No substance just insults. But hey, it's the Trump way. He's such a statesman. :D

Actually, I do have substantial university education in diplomacy and political science (minor for my first degree). So, though I would never rate myself as an "expert," I'm quite certain my expertise surpasses yours ... by light years.

Another insulting childish MAGA response that responds to nothing. Pffft.

Why don't you enlighten us with a listing of your University degrees. Particularly, as you make fun of Secretary Noem online courses as a "mail order Bachelor's Degree."

When it comes to childish, you should look back at all of your posts. It's like some angry schoolgirl posted them.

BA, MA, PhD. All are bona fide university degrees, all courses that I attended, PhD thesis published. Also enough post-graduate courses in another field to essentially qualify for a second BA. As we all know, online courses are notorious for lacking credibility. It is often impossible to ascertain if the students are actually turning in their own work or somebody else doing it for them. I think the fact that Noem attempted degree programs at various other schools, failed to complete them, and only received her diploma online kinda speaks for itself. Prospective employers rarely give much credence to online degrees listed on resumes. There are good reasons. Personally, I think I would be more inclined to hire someone with just a high school diploma.

Edit: My mistake. Noem couldn't even complete her online program at South Dakota State. Just one of many washouts. She eventually received her BA from U of South Dakota while she was in Congress. According to the Washington Post she completed a program in political science based on "intern" credits for simply holding office. Why didn't they just give her an honorary PhD? We know what those are good for ... wallpaper. So apparently she doesn't have a "real" bachelor's degree. She tried repeatedly but just didn't have the right stuff. Or that's the way it looks anyway.

And what fine institutions granted those degrees. I’ve personally never heard of a thesis for a Ph.D. Must have been a diploma mill to only require a thesis. All the Ph.D. Programs that I am aware of require a dissertation and defense.

As you get older the very real possibility of mini strokes looms.....

When do you find time in the day to fill yourself with so much anger, rage and bitterness? Honestly, no joking or belittling here, I’m going to pray for you brother.

I get that youre an old fart and likely unaware of whats happening in the real world of education these days... but..

I would imagine that you are aware that Harvard, Penn, Columbia, Brown, Cornell, Dartmouth, Yale, Stanford, Duke, Georgetown, and MANY other top tier universities now offer online degrees? and many of them have for better than a decade? Most of them offer masters programs that are entirely online.. a few now offer PhD and professional terminal degrees entirely online.. and almost all of them are working toward adding even more masters and PhD programs online..

its this thing called technology and advancement... if Harvard can embrace it.. perhaps you should consider it...

Or perhaps Harvard (and the others) arent credible in your eyes?

Most state/public universities have offered online degrees for the better part of the last 20 years...

These are all regionally accredited and undergo the exact same scrutiny as their in-residence programs.. they are not pay-to-play universities with national or distance ed accreditation..

If you dont care for US educational institutions, we can look at Canadian schools.. McGill, Queens, Thompson Rivers, Fredericton, Athabasca and others offer online degrees..

I stand with Christi Noem, and it wasn't a difficult decision, based on merit.

I remember the good old days when I'd read this thread and leave smarter for having read the comments, even when I disagreed with the conclusions.

Those days died in the last 90, or at least the thoughtful posts are now drowned out by the heckler's veto.

Hello,

Am I reading your post correctly to say that the Tsavo rifle will be coming out with a composite stock later this year? I ask because I had been looking very hard for a Tsavo, but if there is going to be a composite stock model I will wait for that.

Thank you for your time,

Andrew

Saw your post. Nice. Denver too. Genesee area (just off 70) if ever up this way. Alternatively, do you have a membership at GGC? Whatever, you'll have a wonderful time in Africa. Enjoy.
