The problem is....oh you know what the problem is.. Its ALL over the world news..

And he is going in circles.. The war is a fuck up...admit it.

PONDORO, I think I maybe understand where you come from, you and KJE81 both born and raised in Europe. a total different experience in life ,education and war, hhmmm. IM putting you and KJE81 in a special category separate form BIG EASY and the ONTARIO they have no excuse , Im giving you the benefit of forgiv.eness for what I would normally classify as stupid. not you 2 though, we could share a table.

Strange is it not...you have sunk their navy, destroyed their anti-aircraft systems, bombed their radars and cities and killed multiple leaders..bombed nuclear facilities..

Yet still..they control the Strait.
Sir I stay out of these topics usually but your comment right here is proving many people that argue against your point.

The reason Iran is hard is because we live in a modern world and try to play nice if the us wanted to they could burn that country to the ground genghis khan style but then the world would rise against us for being barbaric.
Unfortunately the only way to root out an ideological group which is what that regime has is to make sure there is no one left that follows that ideology to carry it on. There are two historically known ways to do that… neither are worth me mentioning because there are not really acceptable and I’m sure you can use your imagination to figure them out.

but it s not because the us is weak. And im sure you know that.

Pondoro is, in my opinion, quite right in many of his comments. The fact is: an Arab/Muslim/Palestinian life is valued far less than a Jewish life in the Western world.
This is a point one could certainly consider in a quiet moment.
The tragic civilian casualties on both sides certainly play a role in supporting this.

There have been numerous attempts to annihilate the Jewish people, and they cannot and will not wait until their opponents have reached a strength they can no longer defend themselves against.

But what did the Arabs envision when they elected Hamas in 2006? The Hamas Charter of 1987 enshrines the destruction of Israel and defines it as a declared political goal. With this election, the population literally committed suicide.

In the Gaza tunnel system, one can almost ride the subway. No one can tell me that the "peaceful" population there didn't notice these gigantic construction projects. Likewise, no one can convince me that the Israeli secret service—supposedly the best in the world—didn't notice. Were they waiting for a pretext to strike like this and deliberately sacrificing their own people? It remains a mystery.

Golda Meir said once:
There will only be peace, when the Arabs love their children more than they hate the Jews.

Unfortunately, I'm afraid she's right with that statement.
Your first paragraph about the value of life is probably right. I see it all the time but the reasons are different depending on who or why that may be. There are some who I’ve seen both in person and online who may have a Zionist view though I have a hard time labeling everyone that has that view as hating Arabic people.( though some certainly do. That’s only logical because all groups have people who hate people that’s life.)
And there are those who have had to fight and deal with Islamist for the last 25 years. That’s sure to leave a sour taste in your mouth.

Many people who fought or lived through the great wars, Korea and Vietnam hated those people till the day they died on all sides. Not saying it’s right but how can you blame the way a person feels if it earned through lived experience.

If America gets Irans enriched uranium, it will be informative to see what the isotopes tell us regarding the mine location.

I’m not saying this is the case but what if Uranium One ends up being the source material. This would then get very interesting.

I would add that Israelis/Americans value Israeli/American lives more than Palestinians value Palestinian lives. As an example, see the suicide bombers. And Iran with little value for their citizens lives by killing them and using them as human shields (knowing we value their lives more than they do).

You have to trust those allies first if you want to attempt to do that…

He doesn’t Trust Europe or NATO… many believe that his lack of trust is well earned..
It seems to be the same on the other side, thats why I repeatedly suggested that either Trump (and obviously some of the European Nato members aswell lately) should stop talking about their mutual distrust or simply put an end to Nato.

You went into this war with 2 goals:

Regime change and seizing whatever enriched uranium they posess..

None are achieved..no one knows where the uranium is..

All I see is destruction in the western gulf states by Iran and destruction in Iran..

LNG production will be low until rebuilt..same for refineries on both sides..

The world is facing a global energy crisis...that not seems to bother either USA or Israel..

The Strait is de facto closed and will remain so as long as iranian traffic is denied, unless the US unleash a major military operation to reopen it..

Is it not overly arrogant to claim that Europe, Japan, Australia, etc. should step in and clean up the mess..?

A war nobody was consulted on or asked to participate in..?

You conveniently leave out the destruction/ degradation of Irans missile and drone capabilities.

Absolutely. It’s weird to know a group will use their kids and have them walk In front of trucks or tractors as mine detectors in some countries to protect equipment. When we will sacrifice our own lives in a second to protect our kids.

That would not be surprising if the source was Russia, considering all the help Iran has given Russia in the war against Ukraine one can assume that the Iranians has gotten a few things from Russia aswell...and probably not only the crappy russian military equipment.

You hit the nail here.. The US cannot force shipowners risk sailing under these conditions. The Iranians know that and thus control Hormuz.. The question is, what are you going to do about it..?
Telling the U.S. what we ought to do again.

According to my sources, Norway has 23,000 active military personnel.

By contrast, the Boy Scouts of America has 1,030,000 members.

Your Country couldn't do anything to change this situation if it were forced to. There's a reason nobody cares what you think.

I dont think he is seriously suggesting that Norway could fix it, I read it more like he is referring to a case of "You break it, you buy it".

Of course if is more complicated than that, but I dont think that Trump did himself much of a favor claiming so that he destroyed Irans nuclear program in june only to come back the next year and do it all over again. That probably made this second war much harder to sell both at home and abroad.

It is to bad that there seem to be no real evidence that there was a functional nuclear program up and running, perhaps if the US were able to seize the enriched Uranium that might sway the opinion.

Reminds me of a special forces interview.....

They found a bomb maker in Iraq, this man was trying to develop an IED that would be set off by humans but not be set off by goats.

This man tested his designs with the goats in a field; if the goats didn't set off the explosives he would then throw a soccer ball in the same field and see if any of the local children would set off the explosive.

The even more interesting contrast is the total number of active personnel in Norways armed forces is 23,000… while the US has roughly 70,000 special operations personnel across its military branches… and those SOF are undoubtedly the best trained, best equipped, and most experienced SOF in the world right now…

We literally have more people in just USASOC (33,000) than Norway has in its entire military…

Perhaps you saw my answer to Altitude sickness earlier? https://www.africahunting.com/threads/politics.44601/post-1600734 Like I wrote both of them are/were to old for the job and both of them sounded like rambling old man in their speeches, at least Bidens later ones and Trumps during his second term.

I cringe every time Trump opens his mouth. I can't say the same about Biden, because I couldn't ever understand anything his was attempting to say, nor do I think he could. My mother suffered and utlimately succumbed to Alzheimer's. I'm no doctor, but based on my experience with my mother, I would put money on Biden being a dementia patient.

Trump on the other hand, while I may cringe when he speaks, I believe he knows exactly what he's doing. Whether you or I agree with it or not is irrelevant.

We can agree on that Dave. We stay out of it and leave it to you and Israel to clean up the mess.

Following.. :Cigar:

Then. Quit. Complaining. About. How. We. Attempt. To. Do. That.

Andrew, I commented that your on 375 H&H for sale was the fair price.

Like I commented, my classic stainless has the original 24” barrel.

Did you buy yours with the barrel already cut down to 21” or did you do it (or a gunsmith)?
