Hi Sparky, good to have you here. I am glad to see you are busy making your dream a reality. You are at the right place to receive all the information you will need. Post your questions and concerns and you will get answers.

sparky,

Welcome to the AH Forum. My advice to you is always check the following:

1. References
2. References
3. References
4. oh yes, and Outfitters and PH licenses...

I will just say make sure you ask alot of questions?References are great unless the place is new and may not have any to give.Could be a business just starting or getting in the united states market after being in the eurpeon market.A ref. from someone in another country would mean nothing to me as the cultures are very different.Yes make sure they are legal with all permits in place.Ref can be great but that does not mean it will suit your style or what you want. You also must feel good when you pick that place that is going to make your dream come true. Also make sure to ask about refund policy in case something stops you for making the trip.Must will move the hunt to another date with alittle cost or none at all. Some may just keep the deposit and your out all that money and no trip. You could not do wrong by talking jaco or pieter about a hunt.

Hi Sparky,
Welcome to AH. You're first step in planning your African dream was the correct one, and that was to join this forum.
All the best in your planning.
Please don't hesitate to ask any questions.

Take Care,
Marius Goosen

Thanks Bill
Your insight appears to come from the best teacher. "Experience"
Much appreciated, I will follow your advise.

Welcome to AH Sparky!

I have learn alot along the way.But I can say nothing bad has come of the few mistakes I have made along the way.I have not needed to change any plans as of yet and lost no money. It is not near as hard to plan and do a hunt in africa as some make it out to be.Common sense will take you along way with your pick also.I have talked alot with both pieter and marius who have posted on here.I will tell you both would be great choices depending on the area you want to taste first.

Welcome to the Forum Sparky.
Great folks on here and years of hunting and Safari experience.
Don't hesitate to ask any questions, no matter how silly they might seem.
Lots of first class outfitters on here too
All the best with your research
Regards Dave

Welcome!!!

As others have said, this is a great place to learn. Ask every question both here, and of the outfitter, than you can think of. No detail is too small.

Welcome to the forum.

You defnitely came to the right forum to get enough information on planning your safari. Please do not hesitate to ask any questions at anytime. More than enough experience on the forum to send you in the right direction.

Please do not hesitate to check out our website at HartzView Hunting Safaris and some hunt reports of members that has hunted with Hartzview Hunting Safaris.

Best regards,

Jacques

I'm unfortunately on a diet. Presently in VA hospital as Agent Orange finally caught up with me. Cancer and I no longer can speak. If all goes well I'll be out of here and back home in Thailand by end of July. Tough road but I'm a tough old guy. I'll make it that hunt.

Nice one there. I guided for mulies and elk for about 10 or so years in northern New Mexico.
