Operator and PH Insurance

Hi all,

A quick questions for the operators and ph’s on the forum.

Do you have any recommendations for life and medical insurance cover based out of Rsa.

I am currently under cover from a uk based service but looking to find something closer to home that will be more comprehensive and easier to deal with (if insurances ever are).

I know about Bupa. When my father in law worked in Tanzania he was very well covered on that, but I think it is US$ based, and quite expensive. Obviously then his company subsided it.

If you have a residence, or family with a residence in SA, just get a SA medical aid, as long as it is not Discovery.

Momentum used to have momentum Africa, but I quickly looked, and it seems they no longer run that plan.

any issue with discovery?
I do know some on discovery.

As I spend more in in rsa it makes sense to be rsa based.

Might ask some at the safari outdoor tomorrow night if I can make it for the night market.

PHASA has managed to source insurance that covers guys/phs etc in the industry

i have discovery med aid, i wont employ a PH without med aid, and my business has all risks etc cover on my general insurance policy
