And I don’t find it until I replace it and looking for some place safe to put the new one!!!!
There was a real, if absurd, case. The family went for mushrooms in the car "Niva" (quite passable). They gathered mushrooms, and by the evening came out of the forest - but there was no car. They searched, they didn't find it, so it's stolen! Somehow they got home, reported it to the police and the insurance company. The police did not find the car, and a few months later the family received a refund and bought a new car. In August, they went for mushrooms, picked up mushrooms, came out of the forest: and they saw their first car standing there. Stood there for a year.

Nivas are great little vehicles in the mud...nice and light

I remember back during the war in Vietnam we had an ROTC gala event at our university. A crusty old Marine Sergeant Major was at the soiree.

There was no shortage of extremely young idealistic ladies in attendance, one of whom approached the Sergeant Major for conversation.

"Excuse me, Sergeant Major, but you seem to be a very serious man. Is something bothering you?"

"Negative, ma'am. Just serious by nature."

The young lady looked at his awards and decorations and said, "It looks like you have seen a lot of action."

"Yes, ma'am; a lot of action."

The young lady, tiring of trying to start up a conversation, said, "You know, you should lighten up. Relax and enjoy yourself."

The Sergeant Major just stared at her in his serious manner.

Finally, the young lady said, "You know, I hope you don't take this the wrong way, but when is the last time you had sex?"

"1955, ma'am."

"Well, there you are. No wonder you're so serious. You really need to chill out! I mean, no sex since 1955!" She took his hand and led him to a private room where she proceeded to "relax" him several times.

Afterwards, panting for breath, she leaned against his bare chest and said, "Wow, you sure didn't forget much since 1955."

The Sergeant Major said, after glancing at his watch, "I hope not; it's only 2130 now."

I drive a "new" Niva, the so-called "Niva-Chevrolet", it was produced by a joint venture with GM. Of the American parts, there is only a cross on the hood. But the order for the development of this model was made by the Americans, and it turned out well. Much more comfortable than the classic Niva, 5 doors instead of 3, and the base is slightly larger - there is no longitudinal pitching. The engine is weak, 80 hp, on the track it is felt when overtaking, but it is economical. Her nickname is "Schniva", she has a lot of fans. Every year there are festivals, you know, in the style of "rednecks". A few years ago, there was such a festival in the Tula region. There are vast fields, slightly hilly terrain, intersected by ravines and forest belts. One guy went for a ride at night, I don't know if he was alone or not, and drove into some ravine. He got out, got to the camp in the morning (the lights are visible far away), the next day he sobered up, went with his friends to pull out the car and did not find it. As far as I know, he searched for her for two more weekends without success, and I don't know what happened in the end.

Their former Tater tot, Chip, is also to lose the gender label and get a name change to Mashed
What happened to Baby Baked? Did Grandma get fried?

Andrew, I commented that your on 375 H&H for sale was the fair price.

Like I commented, my classic stainless has the original 24” barrel.

Did you buy yours with the barrel already cut down to 21” or did you do it (or a gunsmith)?
