It's a folding yard stick. And yes I am.
My father had one, but it was made of metal, very old, darkened with age. There's not much to see on it. And one day, he and my older brother were marking out a foundation pit. At some stage, one of them did not bend one knee. As a result, one side of the foundation was made 8.1 meters instead of 9 meters, and it turned out only when the logs were brought. I was young then, and they didn't swear with bad words in front of me, so their conversation was like the conversation of the deaf and dumb.
