on a lighter note...

Heard this one earlier today:

A sheep ranching couple hired a Frenchman to assist with the castration of the rams.

The Frenchman declared this was nasty and asked the rancher what he did with these.

The rancher responded we call these sheep fries and will eat them for supper. They are quit tasty. Then asked Frenchman if he would join them for supper, which the Frenchman accepted.

Having now eaten several of the sheep fries the Frenchman agreed that sheep fries are delicious.

The next day upon returning from running an errand the rancher not seeing the Frenchman anywhere, asked is wife where the Frenchman was. His wife replied, The Frenchman ran off. He completed castrating the rams and there wasn't enough sheep fries for supper. I told him that was ok, I would just add French fries.

thanks for your reply bob , is it feasible to build a 444 on a P14/M17 , or is the no4 enfield easier to build? i know where i can buy a lothar walther barrel in 44, 1-38 twist , but i think with a barrel crown of .650" the profile is too light .
