Merkel makes good rifles...i have looked at the o/u double rifles and shotguns...balance was very good for both.

i am looking out for a o/u shot gun with single selective trigger, side locks and hand detachable lock. so how much should it cost, does any body know.

Depends. What grade? What condition? Pre-war, post-war, or post unification? What bore? They are, as a rule, superb guns and the detachable side locks were/are the top of the line. However, depending upon the type and level of engraving that too will enter into a valuation. I would go to a site like Guns International Guns International, Used Guns For Sale Online, Antique Guns, Collectible Firearms and look at the merkels listed. You'll likely see one or two similar guns which will give you an idea of value.
