North Fork Bullets

Hi

Thank you for your message. I understand your frustration, and I would like to provide a clear summary of what has happened with this shipment.

We dispatched the boxes to the UK on May 6, 2025. Shortly after shipment, the transport company informed us that they were unable to locate the boxes. After approximately one month, we were notified that the goods were being held by DPD Customs in the UK due to an issue with the customs code.

We use the same customs code for this product worldwide, and we confirmed with Swedish Customs that the code was correct from our side. Despite this, the shipment remained with UK Customs for approximately three months before we were informed that the goods would be returned to Sweden.

During this entire period, we sent more than 40 emails to the transport company, UK Customs, and Swedish Customs, and we kept you informed as soon as we received any updates.

It then took an additional month for the shipment to return to our factory in Sweden. Once the goods arrived back, we immediately began a new export application. As our products are classified as war material when exported from Sweden, each shipment requires a specific export license. Unfortunately, during the extended delay in the UK, the original import documentation expired, meaning we could not simply resend the shipment without completing new export paperwork.

We fully acknowledge that this process has taken far too long, and we sincerely regret the inconvenience this has caused you. However, the delays were largely due to customs handling and regulatory requirements outside of our direct control.

Regarding the timeframe mentioned (1 year and 4 months), our records show that the shipment process began in April/May 2025. As of today (February 2026), that period is approximately 9–10 months. If there is an earlier reference point you are calculating from, please let us know so we can clarify any misunderstanding.

We truly value all our customer and appreciate your patience during this complicated situation. If you would like, we can schedule a call to review everything step by step and discuss how we can move forward in the best possible way.
Thank you for your response. However, (I began this process on 22/08/2024, which you may not have been aware of). The purchase receipt from my supplier is dated 20/02/2025, yet the shipment was not dispatched until April/May 2025. During this period, my supplier repeatedly told me they had contacted you and even remarked, “I’ll email them — they are slow to respond, so please bear with us.” That alone speaks volumes.
You stated that you are familiar with Sweden’s export laws regarding your goods. If that is the case, I should not have been left without clear guidance or forced to chase updates. Your communication throughout this process has been minimal to the point of being almost nonexistent.
As of yet, I am still waiting for the ammunition that I purchased, which I purchased 1 year and 1 day ago.
Overall, this experience has fallen far below the standard expected from a company that claims to value its customers.

I understand that this situation is frustrating, and I truly appreciate the opportunity to clarify.

We began discussions with our UK distributor well before any orders were placed. However, I’m unable to comment on any communication that may have taken place between you and them directly, as I’m sure you understand.

Regarding email communication, we make every effort to respond to all messages as quickly as possible—normally within a few hours. Occasionally, it may take one or two days if we are out of the office, but we always aim to respond promptly, including on weekends. If you have not received updates from your shop or distributor, it is unfortunately difficult for us to provide additional information beyond what has already been shared with them.

As mentioned previously, we have contacted the transport company regarding the boxes sent. Their current response is that they do not have confirmed information about the shipment’s location. We have passed this information on to our UK distributor and have repeatedly assured them that we will provide updates immediately once we receive any new information from the transport company.

We are familiar with the applicable customs regulations, and we used the exact same customs code in a subsequent shipment, which successfully reached our distributor. Unfortunately, customs authorities may sometimes make independent decisions to hold goods, and this is entirely outside of our control.

Regarding ammunition: we do not sell or ship ammunition outside of Sweden. If you have placed an order for ammunition intended for delivery to the UK, I am very sorry, but we are unable to fulfill such an order.

I'm hearing rumours that Prophet River Firearms will not be carrying North Fork bullets in the near future. Is this true? If so, who will become the replacement importer / shop selling North Forks in Canada?

Same thing here, I had a wish list for North Forks, they have just cancelled it as they did not receive any delivery for 1.5 years. Could you comment on whether you will resume supplying hunters in Canada in the new future?

If I were you I’d go find another manufacturer…these guys won’t give you a straight answer!

they make pretty good stuff. My plan b is that I have a EU mailing address and they can ship there from Sweden.

We’ll be prepared for a long wait!
After 1 year I of patiently waiting I chucked it in as they only sent half my order. No CPS, reading between the lines they have manufacturing issues. You might ask why reading between lines. Because they never gave a straight answer. Always someone else fault. Why send half an order after so long?? Then never give me the customer a clear answer.
They might have a great product but their customer service is lacking.
If you still want to go with them take my advice ask 1: if they are making the bullet heads you want. 2: if they have them in stock 3: Are they prepared to send all of your order at the same time 4: What time frame are you looking?

Good afternoon,

Thank you for all your questions and comments. We sincerely regret that you are disappointed with the information you receive from us, as well as with product availability in your region.

We always strive to answer all questions as accurately as possible, whether they are technical or related to delivery timelines. In cases where we do not have full clarity, we prefer not to provide speculative answers.

Over the past two years, our partnerships with distributors in different countries have not changed — in fact, the number of our representatives has increased. However, there have been significant disruptions in supply chains for materials, changes in production processes, and major shifts in transportation logistics, both in terms of cost and geography.

We have also faced new export and import regulations as well as tariffs, and these processes are heavily dependent on governmental regulatory bodies that issue them.

Therefore, as soon as the situation stabilizes and becomes more predictable, we will immediately inform all customers across all our platforms about product availability.

Once again, we apologize for the inconvenience caused. Our priority remains the quality of our bullets rather. We have always been, and remain, a manufacturer of premium hunting bullets, and we are committed to maintaining this standard despite the turbulent challenges the company has faced over the past two years.

We sincerely hope for your understanding and support of manufacturers who are not industrial giants, but rather focus on serving a niche group of customers whom we greatly value.

You are always welcome to contact me directly by email el@northforkbullets.com with any questions — I will be happy to respond.

Have a nice day.

Best regards,
Ekaterina Lobach,

World logistics have changed rapidly over the past 2 years - this has not been hidden. Government cultural changes have hurt many aspects of shooting and hunting. These things take a great deal of time and effort to get them the way we want them to work for us. There’s no doubt in my mind that North Fork is trying desperately to find avenues for distribution that will work for them and get us the bullets we need.

Thank you for your understanding.

Even with the current tariffs, it is becoming slightly easier to get clarity on the future outlook, and government authorities are providing feedback on documentation. Logistics is also pushing us to explore alternative supply channels, especially for our customers outside the European Union, who have historically been a priority for us.

Our brand was originally founded in the United States, and our first customers were American hunters.
We value all our customers regardless of region, however our first customers were American hunters, and they still remain highly valued clients for us, as they are not only loyal customers but also true connoisseurs of high-quality bullets.

We strive to meet all customer requests, and if it were technically and economically feasible to produce all requested calibers, we would certainly do so without hesitation. Unfortunately, the reality does not fully match our capabilities, but we are doing our best.

Have a nice day.

Best regards,
Ekaterina Lobach

Hello,

Am I reading your post correctly to say that the Tsavo rifle will be coming out with a composite stock later this year? I ask because I had been looking very hard for a Tsavo, but if there is going to be a composite stock model I will wait for that.

Thank you for your time,

Andrew

Saw your post. Nice. Denver too. Genesee area (just off 70) if ever up this way. Alternatively, do you have a membership at GGC? Whatever, you'll have a wonderful time in Africa. Enjoy.
