Well what can I say: I clipped this from the Nation Newspaper in Nairobi this morning. I would rather not add more.

Hmmm, attacked five people?

What a sad waste.

Brickburn, I don't get the point of the thread. You have a big cat attacking people, the locals kill it. Whether hunting is legal or not, this will be the end result, someone local or otherwise will kill the cat. Please explain.

Looks like a BIG cat. Beautiful, large rosettes. Shame this gorgeous cat was not hunted. Maybe if leopard hunting was taking place this cat would not have been so brazen as to attack people? Hunted populations of wildlife generally have a much deeper wariness of humans. Case in point, Wolf in western U.S. Don't know if this leopard had injuries or maybe old age that contributed...
Kenya = No hunting. Just poaching and problem animal control. Dead is still dead.
Sympathy for the people that were attacked. Glad no one was killed.

Dead is dead.

But if hunting was allowed, the community could have received thousands of dollars for that leopard. Instead, they're begging the Kenyan Wildlife Service for compensation they will likely not receive.

I think there is some question as to the alleged attack on 5 people!!???
No hunting = no income! However a dead cat that attacked five people requires compensation to the people RIGHT???

we will never know the real story.

I wonder which one of the greenie groups is willing to stand up and compensate these people?
Or don't they work that way???

You are exactly right! No hunting and large predators get emboldened. Just ask the coyotes in our major cities!

Had an excellent classifieds transaction with JoninCO. A truly honest and standup member. I wouldn't hesitate at all to deal with him again. Thanks, J!

Hi Lance, Hope you well. I collect Mauser rifles and they are very much part of my cultural history in Africa. Would you consider selling the rifle now a year on ? I'd like to place it in my collection of Mauser rifles. Many thx

I saw where you hunted elephant with backcountry safaris in Zimbabwe.
Was looking to book an elephant hunt and wanted to know how your hunt went
and if you would recommend them.

Thanks
Mike
hi, do you know about lions hunters, leopard hunters, and crocodiles hunters of years 1930s-1950s
I'm new to Africa Hunting. I would like to purchase a Heym 450-400 double rifle. I'm left-handed but would prefer a non-canted gun. Is anyone in the community considering parting with theirs?
