Thanks Guys, Very Much, Brick,Royal and CA ...You know you often wonder IF all the little things you do and pay attention to and put into a mount really truly matter...I see they do.
I thank you very much for your comments. These hyena could have easily had there heads raised more and higher and not had the eye roll. And it would have looked fine and quite normal as for taxidermy mounts go. But the eye roll in both make them truly look as if they are thinking and deciding what to do..And like Brick posted" add to" the story...
I wanted them really different and that's what it means when the studio advertising line " The Closer You Look , The Better We Get " comes into view...
NOW for the KICKER....Most hunters have NO IDEA what goes on behind the scenes....The skins we get are the skins we have to mount...no if's ands or butts, Bad field care, bad salting. terrible skinning, terrible dip pack, bug damage, etc... in africa lots of things happen and we are the guys at the bottom of the hill and you know what they say,,,**** rolls downhill.... I want to show you in this part of the post what we had to work with that was given to us from the safari outfit that prepped these trophies....These are the before skins..... Leopard..Both legs trashed, in pieces, tail in three pieces, zip tied to the salted skin...The repair the best ot could be done before mounting and then Major Repair on the dried mount and then the Hyena's the pictures and see the hair slip and dermis slip and bug damage...and you see what goes into a mount, a whole lot more that sewing skins to forms...I just don't post the best of what we do. I post the bad ones also and the results we and you can get with bad skins if you have the knowledge and experience.
I missed this post....Dennis that is unreal..Man if I m lucky enough to take my cat I sure hope it arrives in MUCH better shape than that. This is why you pay for the best (I believe ). I was wondering just how far does your team personally deliver? As you know I m in NY. Would you deliver all the way there? Or truck ship it?. All the best. John

Johnny, will do it the most cost efficient way. personal deliver or freight. If we have multiple safari's going to the east coast you pay from point point not the whole cost from Michigan. if that's cheaper than the crate and freight. I work everyday 10 - 12 hours 7 days a week for my income and know everyone else does also and I will make your hard earned dollars work in the most cost effective manner.
Had an excellent classifieds transaction with JoninCO. A truly honest and standup member. I wouldn't hesitate at all to deal with him again. Thanks, J!
Hi Lance, Hope you well. I collect Mauser rifles and they are very much part of my cultural history in Africa. Would you consider selling the rifle now a year on ? I'd like to place it in my collection of Mauser rifles. Many thx
I saw where you hunted elephant with backcountry safaris in Zimbabwe.
Was looking to book an elephant hunt and wanted to know how your hunt went
and if you would recommend them.
I'm new to Africa Hunting. I would like to purchase a Heym 450-400 double rifle. I'm left-handed but would prefer a non-canted gun. Is anyone in the community considering parting with theirs?
