Hi Everybody! (Dr. Nick)

Finally joined, read lots of posts over the years, seems like great forum. I’m a gun nut, and a hunter second. I have not been to Africa hunting yet, but I have always dreamt about cape buffalo hunting in Africa. My main focus has been elk hunting in Alberta, and have shot a couple decent bulls. But i hate cold weather, so I'm turning my focus to hunting in Africa. I’m finally in a position in my life where i can make that happen. Hello all! Im looking forward to discussing African Hunting and especially Large Caliber Rifles!

Welcome to the best African site. Don't say too loudly that you have safari funds. There are lots of us on here who will try, convince and most likely be successful in convincing you to spend and go. Once you do its "normal" life over. Nothing compares to safari.

Hey thanks for the welcoming replies!

Definitely lots of great info here! It’s definitely nice to be on a forum where there’s lots of discussion of classic rifles and cartridges! Don’t get me wrong i love long range shooting and new stuff, but my heart is walnut and blues rifles. Especially ones for dangerous game.

Thanks! Oh yeah! There’s tons if great hunting here! Yeah unfortunately I can’t stand cold weather. I’m a warm climate person unfortunately. I did hunt for a long time in the cold, but warm vacations during hunting season keep happening lol.
