Just got this guy back from the taxidermist! Animal Artistry here in Reno. Big scar on his nose. A fantastic addition to our home (literally, part of the family)!

Congratulations on a fine ram! Where did you take him?

Massive broken horns, scarred nose, I'll bet this fella was king of the mountain in his day.

Yeah, he was a warrior all right... 156 5/8 SCI score. The funny thing about that hunt was the unit was only 1.5 hours from home (south of a town called Yerington, NV). So, I was able to take several scouting trips. Good thing, I never saw a sheep the first twelve scouting trips, then on the 13th, there he was...a magnificent ram...who totally made me and was on his way over a ridge. But before he disappeared, he turned and looked right at me, setting sun glinting off his horns. I was hooked. Sheep hunting is all different; majestic, noble. A step or two above anything I've hunted before.

Anyway, they were popping up everywhere, and I had a choice of a few shooters. I got this guy opening morning at 10:00. I'm honored and grateful!

That is awesome! Congratulations! Definitely a dream hunt!

Lots of spotting and then it comes together. Congratulations.

Congrats and thanks for sharing!

What age do you believe he was?

Congratulations. I know of no other hunting as can get one emotionally involved as mountain hunting. My hunting for sheep and ibex in Iran more than fifty years ago are as vivid as if done last week.

Business is the only way to fly. I'm headed to SA August 25. I'm hoping that business isn't an arm and a leg. If you don't mind, what airline and the cost for your trip. Mine will be convoluted. I'll be flying into the states to pick up my 416 Rigby as Thailand doesn't allow firearms (pay no attention to the daily shootings and killings) so I'll have 2 very long trips.

Hi EGS

I read your thread with interest. Would you mind sending me that PDF? May I put it on my website?
