Very well written report, with the good and the bad in it. Loved the pics!

The warhog and hartbeest looked awesome!! I concur that the zebra are one tough animal. I shot Mine through the Chevron, and out the Chevron with my 375, and It still ran a long ways.

What did you think about the thorns? I am so glad you took so many good trophies!

Well done!

Craig

Thats a nice hartebeest as well!!

I always appreciate the pictures posted by members. It lets the rest of us come along on the hunt as you describe the progress. Thank you sir for sharing!

Good write up, thank you for sharing. Fair play for talking about the bad times as well as the good.
I know exactly how that feels as does every other hunter but you had fun, took some great animals and if you can look back with a smile then that's all you need.
I might have missed it but who was the outfitter?

Congrats on the trip!

ill try to get some more photos up when i get a chance

We hunted with Harald in September 2019 and had a ball. My son got a good collection of animalsalong with myself. My wife thought it was a brilliant trip and got on well with Haralds in-laws and wife Liezel. Monica is a beautiful cheery person and always greeted you with a smile. He cooking is devine.
Attached is a photo of the person we hunted with. His name was Marcius hopefully it was the same young man. For his age he was very good.

Marcius is on the left of Harald with another PH Jacobus Wasserfall. Harald is holding his daughter.
Due to the China flu Marcius is working in the transport industry with his after in Windhoek.
Franz and Andreus have both successfully completed their PH exams and still work for Harald as far as I know. David is a brilliant tracker and still at the squatters camp and married now.
I would highly recommend hunting with Harald and Liezel at Osambahe Nord safaris.

The Oryx I got from a blind with Franz and Andreus. Blind hunting is harder than people think. Just sitting and waiting may not be physically taxing but it is mentally taxing waiting for hours on end for the right animal.
I'm glad you enjoyed your trip with Harald but next time take the wife as she will fall in love with the place like mine did.
As you caught the bus from Sydney where are you from.
A great story and a good read mate.

See you are from Denmark - see quite a few Danes where I stalk in Scotland - great hunters.
The Harkilia stuff works well in Africa - I have a bit for use here in UK.
I am again looking for 600 Nitro dies preferably RCBS 1 inch. The set I purchased previously are 1 1/2 inch and do not fit my die. Another member has graciously taken them off my hands. If anyone happens to have a set of 600 Nitro Dies that will fit my Rockchucker Supreme RCBS press, please shoot me a message and thanks in advance for any assistance you may have to offer!
