After returning from an awesome eleven species plains game hunt with Phillip and Ralph last July and after seeing leopard tracks, dens, kills and live leopard and Khomas’ and Erongo’s amazing cat country I asked Phillip about future leopard hunt. He says I got one tag and after getting the hunt priced and settled we decided on 3/15/2020 to begin the hunt. If any of you will be in camp then let me know. So we will start by hunting warthog and zebra for baits. Also trying to get a 55 plus kudu after passing on some low fifties last year. I’ll post as we go along after hunt begins. Hutch

Congrats on the booking and good luck!

Best of luck to you and cant wait to hear the updates!

I'll be in Namibia chasing Mr. Spots before too long too!

Best of luck Hutch! Can’t wait to hear the hunting report!

Good luck, I’m sure you’ll do well.

Best of luck, looking forward to your updates.

Hutch01, I’ll be following this closely! Best of luck!
What cartridge and load are you using?

I’m very jealous Hutch! Hunting leopards with Ralph would be a blast. Can’t wait to see some pics of you holding up a big cat.

Good luck!

Many thanks for well wishes. Yes, I’d hate to be a leopard and have these two young lads tryin to kill me. They’re very dialed in and aggressive. Before the hunt last July, I crashed a motorbike and had to have plate and screws in my offside clavicle, so I wasn’t able to haul my gun box AND roller duffle through airports. I enjoyed using one of Phil’s Sauer Helix .300 WM. They’re good no nonsense meat sticks. I’ve always taken my own rifle on my previous safaris, but I gotta tell you, I don’t miss the headache! I got word from Phil that he’s got zebra already hanging and rotting after the rains and they’ll begin to monitor tracks...

Hutch01 you don’t know how lucky you are!!! I will be there with Philip arriving on the 19th of March. It’s your lucky day as I am willing to shoot any leopard I see and let you tag it:). I mean what are friends for:). I’ll even let you take pictures with it and tell any story you like about it and claim it as your own. Ha ha ha.

We are plains game hunting then but can’t wait to hear the stories of a successful hunt. Would LOVE to chase a leopard someday but the pocket book suggest I’ll only be chasing the house cat for quite some time.

Look forward to seeing you in camp soon.

That’s great to hear! More the merrier!

Best of luck! Looking forward to reading about the results!

Good luck Hutch01!
I've been hunting Philips highlands both 2018 and 2019 and both times leopard has been taken, not by me, but I've been
privileged to touch the leopard fur anyway! It's a awesome place and I hope you get one!
