My dear Kali

Dogs are like family members.. So sorry for your loss @PARA45 .. Our last GSD, Jax, was truly the best dog Ive ever had from childhood forward.. a loyal friend, kind, protective of both my family and property, but gentle natured, and just loved being "around" us all the time... he's been gone a few years at this point, and its still hard sometimes.. its a tough thing to go through.. my most sincere condolences..

Oscar, I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of Kali. Losing a beloved pet that's a good companion is a process that unfortunately repeats during a lifetime. Doesn't make it any easier. The special ones are particularly hard. I remember burying Jack as a young boy. Purple flowers grew on his grave every spring for decades that I would always mow around. Rusty, Bernard, Gregor...lots of fond memories & photographs now. My condolences.

:( Condolences and all the best for coping with the void in your lives that Kali’s departure will leave.

Hang in there.

Sorry of your loss.
Hate to hear about any good pup in bad health.
But it sounds like you are doing what’s needed for the best of the dog.
That’s good

May your beautiful memories of Kali bring you comfort at this most difficult time.

Para:

I feel your pain. We had to put our 8 year old mini-bernedoodle to sleep after an unexpected illness in June. We still miss her. Loved everybody and every dog. So sorry for you at this time.

I'm sorry to hear that. I find dogs so much easier to love than humans by a factor of almost 3:1.
Sounds like she was a wonderful dog.

Wow Bro, I'm so sorry.
I grew up with German Shepherds, and they are some of the most loyal and protective dogs you can have as a friend.

Nothing can replace that friendship.

Just remember, all dogs go to heaven. I have some waiting for me, as they will be waiting for you.

So hard to loose them..I had to put down my Gordon Setter 6th august last year, he was 14 years and 8 months to the day. He was more or less blind. Worst thing I ever did....completely devastated for a week after..

Good day everyone. Kali crossed the Rainbow Bridge yesterday at 5 PM,
and she is now free of pain. Thank you all for the kind words, and understanding. It’s never easy.

I woke up this morning around 1, and the first thing I did was to look at her favorite spot between the bedroom in the hallway. Empty now, but I know her spirit will always be there looking after us like she did all these years.

We rescue Kali when she was 8 years old, she had been at the rescue center close to a year. My wife and I decided to give her a wonderful life, and I hope we did. She was 13 years old and had 5 wonderful years with her.

We still have another dog name Oreo, a small and lovable Shi-Tzu. She knows something is up and she has not left my side like providing comfort.

Again, thank you all.

I feel your pain Oscar

I had to put my shepherd down in 2002. Had her for 9 1/2 years. Still not over it

Sir, I will gladly take that 16 gauge off your hands. I was waiting for your Winchesters but I'm a sucker for a 16 ga.

I bought a great deal of the brass he had for sale, plus I already had many hundred rounds.

How much brass are you looking for?
