1 week from today its wheels up to Atlanta, then on to Joburg to begin my hunt with Pieter at Paw Print Safaris!! In 9 days time, we will have finished our first day in the bush, I think sleep will be hard to come by this week. I'll be in SA for 10 1/2 days, 7 planned hunting days and 3 days of sightseeing. Going after 5-7 plains game species, Nyala, Waterbuck, warthog, bushbuck, blesbok, zebra, and maybe 1 or 2 more we'll see. Also going after buffalo! This will be my first dangerous game hunt and really looking forward to it! Pieter has been doing some scouting recently and sent me a few pics of some buff in the area. I'll try to post a few updates on this thread while in SA, and then post a full hunt report once back to the US.

You will have a great time, reedy! Make sure and tell us all about your experience, especially the buffalo hunt. That is one of the most exciting things I have ever experienced.

Yes sir @reedy0312..... I got 10 or 11 days myself before I am in RSA with Jacques Spamer again w/ @AAA Africa Serapa Safaris. Looking very forward. Good luck, looking forward to report.

Thanks Silverado!

Your time is almost here now reedy. I know you will have a blast tracking down a nice buff with pieter. Looking forward to hearing all about your trip. Good luck

I am looking forward to july 26th through aug 11th when I am there hunting again with pieter and Pawprint safaris.

Thanks Bill!

Aim for the shoulder.........shoot!

You bet Charlie, we are going after buff on day 1 !!!

Man I want to go buff hunting again. Savor the moments doing it my friend. When that beast looks at you he sees right through you and if he can come for you he will. Make sure Pieter has that 500 loaded. Shoot and don't wait to be told to reload.

It's showtime Reedy! Enjoy. Post some pics if you can. Save that small spike Nyala for Bill :-)

Lee, I'll go ahead and take the big Nyala so Bill wont loose any more sleep over it ;)

5 Days!! Sleep was tough to come by last night

Sleep is one thing, bet your not getting anything done at work also.

Oh yeah @ChrisPy ,

Today, and next Monday and Tuesday I basically will be checked out! ;)

Anticipation is half the experience. Keep your powder dry & good hunting.

Warm barrels Reedy. The day you fly home or thereabouts, I'll be flying in.

Had an excellent classifieds transaction with JoninCO. A truly honest and standup member. I wouldn't hesitate at all to deal with him again. Thanks, J!

Hi Lance, Hope you well. I collect Mauser rifles and they are very much part of my cultural history in Africa. Would you consider selling the rifle now a year on ? I'd like to place it in my collection of Mauser rifles. Many thx

I saw where you hunted elephant with backcountry safaris in Zimbabwe.
Was looking to book an elephant hunt and wanted to know how your hunt went
and if you would recommend them.

Thanks
Mike
hi, do you know about lions hunters, leopard hunters, and crocodiles hunters of years 1930s-1950s
I'm new to Africa Hunting. I would like to purchase a Heym 450-400 double rifle. I'm left-handed but would prefer a non-canted gun. Is anyone in the community considering parting with theirs?
