Muzzle Energy vs Recoil vs Rifle Weight for Dangerous Game

I have a CZ 550 in 500 Jeffery. 570g TSX at 2300 fps. Weighs 12 lbs with scope. Accurate as hell, recoil is but a maiden's kiss.

Updated the spreadsheet with the sectional density data provided, but I have guessed on some velocities and charge weights. If yoiu have actual data then please share - or update the attached spreadsheet and share. Rifle weights are my best guess as well.
Note - there is no charge weight for the 600gr 505Gibbs and look at the FRE - I stand corrected, the charge weight is the biggest single contributor to the free recoil.

CZ 550 500 Jeffery 12 lbs with scope unloaded 570g TSX at 2300 fps 103g H4895. Kind of gentle

Energy: 6694
TKO: 95
Recoil Energy: 88.12 ft/lbs
Recoil Velocity: 21.74 fps

As someone who is buying a 500NE double this year, how perceivable is the difference between that and a 416 Rigby or 458 WM.

Looks like roughly 60ft-lbs Vs. 90ft-lbs.

Does it feel like +50%?

It don’t get serious until you hit 416.

Hi Lance, Hope you well. I collect Mauser rifles and they are very much part of my cultural history in Africa. Would you consider selling the rifle now a year on ? I'd like to place it in my collection of Mauser rifles. Many thx

I saw where you hunted elephant with backcountry safaris in Zimbabwe.
Was looking to book an elephant hunt and wanted to know how your hunt went
and if you would recommend them.

Thanks
Mike
hi, do you know about lions hunters, leopard hunters, and crocodiles hunters of years 1930s-1950s
I'm new to Africa Hunting. I would like to purchase a Heym 450-400 double rifle. I'm left-handed but would prefer a non-canted gun. Is anyone in the community considering parting with theirs?
