Just thought this was cool, I did not read the accompanying article

I just want to know who let the hartebeest into the giraffe pen and gave him a step ladder…

:D

Is the color a permanent condition, or will it acquire spots somehow?

Trophy fee, please?

What the article doesn't divulge is whether the mutation is more than skin deep. They explain that the skin has a vasculature that cools through the middle of the "spots" normally. I wonder if that giraffe has a color phase abnormality, or if it has a vascular abnormality that caused the condition?

Never seen that before...very unusual. Curious to know more.

Hi Dr. Ray, I will be in Cooktown from Oct 16 to Oct 23 fishing Lizard Island Black Marlin Tournament.

I have several "slack" days after fishing before I head for stay in Sydney and Fiji.

Do you have any recommendations for 1 or 2 day hunt near Cooktown?

I've hunted both DG and PG in 4 different countries in Africa.
Thank you,
Bob
