Limcroma...here I come again

She hunts and loves to pull the trigger, as I’ve discovered over the past 4 years! I’m not sure who’s more excited about the upcoming trip, she or I.
My missus finally decided last August she likes getting behind a rifle.

Which camp are you staying at? We stayed at 3 Rivers last time, Sable Valley in 2027.

All the PHs have a terrific sense of humor, get ready to have a lot of fun. Those dudes are great. If you get really lucky, you'll have Franco. Franco is just a total practical joker.

We're out on our first afternoon there after wildebeest. He, of course, is unarmed because, well, wildebeest. We're putting the sneaky sneak on one, and we hear one behind us in the undergrowth, snorting. The missus is getting a little nervous.

This is her on the first afternoon hunt. Pay attention to the shirt she's wearing.

Says she to Franco: are wildebeest dangerous? Will they charge us?

Says Franco to her: well ma'am, we're not really sure why, but they seem to get particularly aggravated and aggressive by the blue/gray color.

I could just tell by his tone something like that was going to come out of his mouth, so I turned away so she couldn't see me starting to laugh. She looked down at her shirt and her eyes got as big as dinner plates, then Franco and I both started laughing.

The missus and I are going to giggle about the afternoon of 21 August 2024 for the rest of our lives. And that's what it's all about, after all: the memories.

I’m not sure which camp we’ll be at yet, I should shoot them another email asking. It sounds like by all counts we’re in for a great trip!

Looking and several places including a return to the Omay with D&Y
If you go with D&Y, please do York a solid and bring him a pair of the in-ear Axil ear-pro.

Watching a video of him with a husband/wife, both shooting ported rifles. I could literally feel his ear pain all the way from Zim to Texas.

The thing that really annoyed me about the couple was they were hunting spots, tuskless, a cape buffalo or 2, loads of PG otherwise. Not like they didn't have the money to come up with a better way to tame the recoil on their rifles. That's just rude.

I saw that too and met that couple while we were checking in at DFW, they were also at the airfield when we departed.

Typical attitude of the muzzle brake crowd…..

“To hell with the peasants hearing!… that’s what we pay them for!”

I may be a redneck, but this is still a sport for gentlemen, at least on the dark continent. It's just ungentlemanly.

My son and I are looking into a safari for 2027 and Lincroma is on the short list, we had a great visit with them at the SCI in Nashville.

They do their hunts in Limpopo in 10-day blocks.

I know they still have openings for the 21 - 30 August block. Would be cool to meet you guys over there. Would be even cooler to hook up early at Africa Sky. IMO, it is really worth the extra money over City Lodge.

Hopefully you get the issue with the 9.3 sorted before then.
