It was the French who came to our aid At Yorktown and helped secure the freedom we now enjoy. It has indeed been a long friendship. Happy Fourth!

Amen brothers!!

Glad to have you Pascal! Need more like you! Happy 4th everyone... thank god those citizens had assault weapons allowing us the freedoms we enjoy today.

As for Lady Liberty...glad she's here and not the northern entrance of the Suez.

Thank you All, Friends. It is an honor to be an American.
I sometimes wish that some who received it as a birthright would realize, and appreciate, more the incredible blessing that it represents...

Happy soon to be Bastille day to our French AH members. AH is certainly a melting pot of hunters from many different nations and backgrounds. Most of us have different celebrations for a “national day” or “ Independence Day” for each of our countries. Happy 4th to my fellow Americans and happy national/independence day to all our international members whenever you may celebrate it

"America has joined forces with the Allied Powers, and what we have of blood and treasure are yours. Therefore it is that with loving pride we drape the colors in tribute of respect to this citizen of your great republic. And here and now, in the presence of the illustrious dead, we pledge our hearts and our honor in carrying this war to a successful issue. Lafayette, we are here."

~~ Lieutenant Colonel Charles E. Stanton, Paris, July 4 1917

Yeah, so do we!

Seems today too many take for granted the sacrifices our ancestors suffered to give them what they have.

The key word in your reply is sacrifice. When the government hands out money like they are doing people get the wrong idea and want to keep it coming instead of working hard like most of our ancestors did when they first came to this great country.

I'm unfortunately on a diet. Presently in VA hospital as Agent Orange finally caught up with me. Cancer and I no longer can speak. If all goes well I'll be out of here and back home in Thailand by end of July. Tough road but I'm a tough old guy. I'll make it that hunt.

Business is the only way to fly. I'm headed to SA August 25. I'm hoping that business isn't an arm and a leg. If you don't mind, what airline and the cost for your trip. Mine will be convoluted. I'll be flying into the states to pick up my 416 Rigby as Thailand doesn't allow firearms (pay no attention to the daily shootings and killings) so I'll have 2 very long trips.
