Hi fellas
I was just looking at getting some opinions. I've been sent the photos of my trophies from the taxidermist in SA and I'm a bit concerned about one of them.
Is this the same animal

Whats drawn my attention is the lack off ridges around the base on the finished skull compared to the animal that was hunted by me. What do you guys think??

Some close up to help...

Trophy not shown at the same angle but more of a side by side...

I think it is absolutely the same animal. The inside edge of the ridge on the right approximately four inches from the base is very distinctive in both photos. I would be more concerned about how the horns were discolored during boiling. I assume he is planning to recolor?

And Jerome - That is an amazing bit of work. Are you are watching a lot of CSI? :)

I think it is, the ridges as mentioned on the right one stick out. I think the color is off a little and there might have been some slight shrinkage in the drying. But I wouldn't worry.

Looks like it and I think it is just because it is laying that it looks so different in the pic.

Thanks you ever so much for the edit Jerome. It makes for a better comparison.
Would it be worth bringing up the horn discolouration?

The horns are the same. A taxidermist can get the colors right! It just depends on who you are relying on to do the work.

I think it's the same my friend.

Just had some pics from a better angle and it is the beast that was taken that fine evening in SA.

I'll try do it on my laptop the phone won't let me

It is definitely the same horns. But, I don't like the black color, think it should be more natural color,...

In the first photo though it was hard to say if it was the animal taken or not

Nice Beestie.

Same horns for sure.

Just wanted to say thanks for the excellent customer service. Ordered some 9.3x62 brass and the delivery was a little short. An email through your website Contact Us link was replied to the next day with the tracking info for the correction. Good pricing coupled with great customer service will see returning customers every time. Thanks again!
