Merry Christmas from Khomas Highland Hunting Safaris
A big thank you to all our guest who have visited us in the past and present which make our conservation efforts work and provide our Village and Staff and Community a better living.
Namibia was in an exceptional drought – worst in 100 years since the German settlers recorded rainfall.
Jan is doing a bush “acacia” feed successfully to keep the cattle alive.
The free ranging game did not need extra feeding since the mountains held enough grazing for them.
Hundreds of Oryx and Mountain Zebras have migrated into our mountains where they could find enough grazing and water to survive.
Hunting was exceptional good with great Kudu Trophies. Our First Sable Bull was hunted which scored 46” and made it into the Top 10 of Namibia. Also six sable calves were born. Ending with a huge Leopard harvested in the Erongo Mountain ranges. First free ranging Red Lechwe bull hunted in the Heusis River.
We did a lot of building this year. Did a lot of Major renovations for our lodge and our staff village.
We are still busy with the new swimming pool situated overlooking the waterhole.
Attached some pictures of our hunting this year, the lodge and my hunting trip to Kamchatka.
I wish you a wonderful Christmas time and a good start into 2020!
Best regards from Namibia
