I stumbled onto this book recently on Gunbroker and thought it looked interesting. It is. I got a signed and numbered copy of it in slipcase. Safari Press, limited run of 1000 copies.
About his becoming a PH in Zambia. Some good stuff here with amusing tales.

Geoff was a personal family friend. He would always tell the tales of his adventures when he was around. He's a walking survivor of a mauling by a leopard, mauling by lion and being gored by a buff.
Tough bugger, a gentleman and always a laugh to be around. My late uncle, Lawrence Cloete, and Geoff were pro hunters in Zanbia in the 70's.

Geoff wrote several aritcles for ManMagnum magazine as well.

If I remember correctly I think the last time I saw Geoff was at Siggie Rautenbach's funeral about 3 years ago. I'm sure some SA / Zambian members will remember Siggie as well as the three of them were life long friends and hunters.

This book is really very good, one of the best about Zambia, in my opinion. Wainwright must be a tough guy, surviving all those close calls - and i love those stories about the oldtimers like Norman Carr, Peter Hankin and Werner Brach...
Geoff Wainwright should write another book, i'm sure he has many other stories to tell - about Tanzania and Central Africa as well.
