Hi everyone,

New to the forum and hunting in general. Born and raised New Mexico but never hunted before now. I put in for tags this year but didn’t draw anything… so I’ll be tagging along on buddies hints and doing my fair share of fishing this year. Looking forward to one day hunting in Africa, I think it’d be cool to have an oryx from southern NM and Africa mounted on the wall.

:S Welcome:

Welcome to AH!

Welcome, Where in NM? My wife and I are heading to Albqueque in a couple of weeks, I've been to NM,never to ABQ.

Welcome from AZ! Draws are tough but don’t give up. Also look at hunting your next door neighbor to the east (Texas). There’s no draws and plenty of opportunities to be had.

Welcome I’m just on the Colorado side!

Welcome to AH. Never hunted NM, but visited several times. Beautiful state.

Howdy and welcome aboard! New to NM myself. Seems like a great place to hunt in if one can acquire a tag.

Good day! Welcome to AH!

Welcome to the Forum

I went to high school in Soccoro, and lived in Las Cruces up until 2023.

Oryx are cool, I worked on WSMR for 5 years. I know most of the spots where we keep them tied to trees.

Saw everything on WSMR. Bear, bighorns, mule deer, javelina, elk, Barbary sheep.

Curious, any of you NM folks been in on the zoom discussions about starting an ABQ Based SCI chapter? I sat in on one meeting, hope to see more traction

I was a member of the El Paso chapter, you ought to get with them for ideas.
