For those that reload for the 470 NE how many firings on average do you get out of your brass?

I have 50 pieces new Barnes brass and just trying to gauge how long it will last.

Thanks

For .470ne, my opinion is that it is dependent on the quality of dies and how you size the brass.

I started with Hornady dies and was having issues with stuck cases and also short brass life of 4-5 loadings and then had a case head separation, I spoke with Ken Owen about this and he said......

"Get yourself some CH4D dies and most of the sizing takes place in the last inch of the brass closest to the rim; so just size enough for good next tension without overworking the base of the brass and you'll see the brass last much longer."

I followed his advice and the difference was night and day; I've got 40 Hornady cases that I use for practice only and they've have 300 rounds fired through them and still going strong.

I have the Hornady dies and have generally full length resize.

I had Ken work over the rifle and will see about some CH4D dies

Hi Lance, Hope you well. I collect Mauser rifles and they are very much part of my cultural history in Africa. Would you consider selling the rifle now a year on ? I'd like to place it in my collection of Mauser rifles. Many thx

I saw where you hunted elephant with backcountry safaris in Zimbabwe.
Was looking to book an elephant hunt and wanted to know how your hunt went
and if you would recommend them.

Thanks
Mike
hi, do you know about lions hunters, leopard hunters, and crocodiles hunters of years 1930s-1950s
I'm new to Africa Hunting. I would like to purchase a Heym 450-400 double rifle. I'm left-handed but would prefer a non-canted gun. Is anyone in the community considering parting with theirs?
