Hi Bob,

I see your handle is 35 Whelen, a good mate of mine recently purchased a rifle in that calibre for Sambar.
GREAT calibre!
He's in Southern NSW surrounded by champ Sambar area.

Unfortunately here in Australia unless you have access to Hogdon CFE223 it is hard to get the full potential out of the Whelen. ADI 2208 is the best we have available and it gives the 225gn accubond over 2,800fps, more than enough for any sambar in Australia.
With CFE223 you can get the 250gr safely up to 2,700fps which is over 200fps faster than the factory rounds.
Fortunately I laid in a good supply of CFE223 when I found out it was no longer going to be imported.
