Just discovered this site . Amazing amounts of information, exactly what I was looking for. 56 years old looking for info to plan my first trip to Africa. Live in Silverton, Or. USA. My wife will be along and possibly son and friend (s). Cape Buffalo first priority and plains game. Looking for area with largest Cape Buffalo and a traditional type camp. Budget will be important, but this is one of the big items left on my bucket list.

Welcome to AH.

The search begins. Look in the hunting deals history and you will find what you'll need.

There are Buffalo in RSA, may not be a real traditional camp though.
Louis (Sprial Horn), Jacques (Hartzview), Chris (CT Safaris), Kemp (Leeukop), Jaco (Kwalata), Theo (Skinafrica), etc.

Karl (ndumo), Jerome (Ozondjahe) in Namibia

Wayne,(Nyamazana) Zimbabwe.

Good Luck.

Welcome to AH.

There are pockets of good Cape Buffalo in many countries.
Tanzania some of the biggest.
Mozambique some great head come from there also
Zambia - again some quality heads from areas.
Zimbabwe - some good areas and ranches for nice cape buffalo.
south Africa - another spot to look.
Namibia - on the strip a few good cape buffalo are taken
Botswana - a few areas is they are open for hunting.

so take your pick.

What plains game are you looking for.

With a cape buffalo as your primary target what other animals will be you be interested in going after.

Also will you Wife and or son be hunting or observing? (camera men for your safari)

Brickburn has listed a few to check out, however we have others on here also available and will do a good job. Just check.

welcome to AH. i will say that after your first trip to africa your bucket will probably spring leaks, and whatever was in there will be replaced by more trips to you know where.........:biggrin2:

Hi - the only (best) method of sending you the .375/06IMP data is with photographing my book notes. My camera died so the only way I can do it is with my phone. To do that, I would need your e-mail address, as this
new Android phone is too complicated to upload to my desk computer, which would be easier and to down-grade, reduce the file sizes.
Best wishes

Hey Steve, This is Steve Washington we met at KMG last year. I am interested in your Winchester. Would love to speak with you about it. I work third shift and I cannot take a phone with me to work. Let me know a good time to call during one of your mornings. My phone is [redacted]. Live in Florida so I have to account for the time difference.
Look forward to hearing from you.

Good day, Slider.

Do you by any chance have any 500NE brass left that you are willing to part ways with?

Best regards,
Boela Bekker.
