I received 80x 9,3x62 factory rounds from a person in SA yesterday that he got from someone who bought them 4 years ago with a new Steyr Mannlicher. Never fired a shot and gave the rifle to the SAPS for destruction…

Can anyone recognise the headstamp, a single “T” and 9,3x62.

Also any idea what bullets these are? They look a lot like NPs likely 286gr.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

T Munitionsfabrik Thun, Thun, Switzerland, also seen on Norma Ammo, but likely made by Thun.

T oy Tikkakoski AB in Finland and Tula Armory is Russia also used the T headstamp but I believe both factories are closed, and they produced military ammo.

I guess I’ll have to pull a bullet and cut it in half to see what it is. Lots of conflicting information on the net between Norma, Thun and RUAG making these. Hardly any info on the projectiles used.

Thank you for the LIKE on my old post. It brought back memories as I lost her a year and a half ago, at 18+ years.

Noah,
I might be interested in the 470 Woodleigh Softs if the price is right for the entire lot. Are you planning on going to the Tulsa Gunshow in November? If so, perhaps we could meet up.
