Tuffpak, which I usually use when traveling internationally, or the smaller Pelican case? I know there are some weight restrictions on internal flights. What did you use? I like the Tuffpak for climbing poles and tripods, etc. but can do without some of it if I need to be very careful with weight restrictions...

I am a tuffpak fan for the ability to pack other gear in the case also, including soft cases. Not sure which airline you are flying but the Tuffpak will easily come in under weight limits with only one gun on most of the carriers. My tuffpak weighs 18 lbs empty.....

That said, if you are going to traveling with weight and size limitations a smaller case may work better for you. I can see this being an issue if you are traveling on small commuter or bush planes or in small vehicles when you get there.

Saw your post. Nice. Denver too. Genesee area (just off 70) if ever up this way. Alternatively, do you have a membership at GGC? Whatever, you'll have a wonderful time in Africa. Enjoy.
