Well this was actually the first bird I did (before the pintail). It's a little rough as it was shot up pretty good but I still like it.... I graduated from school today and drove on up to the ranch. I figured I'd place it on the counter here instead of the shop.

Congratulations bud!

Nice! And congratulations! I'll be expecting you to mount a pair of bobs next year after my hunt;)

Congrats on finishing the course!

Congrats, now back to work bud!

I like it. Nice job bro.

Well done, I like it!

I think you did a very fine job of it.
Furthermore, chukar are old Velo's favorite upland game bird.
(Ruff grouse are a close 2nd but chukar rule IMO, both for hunting and for eating.)
Your work on various critters looks quite good and I predict you will make a respectable name for yourself in that arena.

Thanks Velo. I'm working my posterior off trying to improve every day. Let's hope God blesses us with some good hunting weather this season instead of this 97 degree nonsense through November last season. I took a pretty good beating last season but was to be expected. I'm just ready for hunting season to get here and get more animals in the shop.

thanks for your reply bob , is it feasible to build a 444 on a P14/M17 , or is the no4 enfield easier to build? i know where i can buy a lothar walther barrel in 44, 1-38 twist , but i think with a barrel crown of .650" the profile is too light .
