Gifts you have received from your PH

A free blesbok in South Africa and a free Lichtenstein hartebeest in Mozambique., the hartebeest was a community meat animal but when my crate of dip & pack came in he was included.
Oh, that's amazing! I bet you were elated at that surprise. That is a great memento.

T-shirt, several animals shot for free! (each hunting trip)

This is good topic, must remain as sticky!

We already have a thread about tipping.
This one should be dedicated to PH's and outfitters treatment of clients, and to remain sticky! ;)
Hopefully all the comments are positive. I didn't think that someone may have been gifted something they hate like malaria or unexpected charges.

Not Africa, but a hunt in Poland. My guide on a late-May Roebuck hunt also owned a large hand painted pottery business. As a parting gift, he gave me two goblets painted with roe around the goblet. I'm away from home right now, so photos later. It was completely unexpected, and quite the enjoyable hunt.

The late, great John Wamback out of Namibia gifted our group (we had hunted with JW for many years) with canvas bags with our names on leather patches and a set of cape buffalo veldskoen stalking boots. I've had to resole the boots over the years, but they are lightweight, comfortable, and dead quiet.

I sure miss him but every time I lace up those boots my mind goes back on safari

I have also received free critters for meat or cull. I think that becomes fairly common on extended hunts and return trips with an outfit.

Free pain, blues and misery. :-). Blisters, banged up shins in the boulders and a dislocated shoulder . . . all gratis! :)

Great topic!

I've received the typical hats and shirts (Africa). One outfitter gave me a nice fixed blade hunting knife (Africa). Trophy hat denoting the accomplishment of shooting 1,000 dove in a day (Argentina). Two free blue wildebeest (Namibian outfitter needed to cull some). One outfitter in Oz that I consider a friend exchange books since he and I both like to read. Last time I saw him at convention, he and his daughter surprised me with a selection of their favorite kids books for my kids. That was very nice and unexpected.

I always bring gifts for my PH's - usually the typically bottle of some nice swill, pickles canned from my garden, or hot sauce that ferment and finish from my garden peppers. They seem to appreciate it. I also always offer to bring over whatever they're having trouble sourcing at home. Electronics, hardware, hunting equipment, or even day-to-day stuff like clothing or cosmetics for the wives. They pay for the items and I provide the delivery service for free.

I read an older thread that mentioned you having some 9.3x64 brass. Do you still have some? I am looking for 100 pcs, maybe 200.
