What is most commonly done with daily medications traveling to SA (or overseas in genera)?
I have read to bring your original prescription bottles and have a note of medical necessity, as well as prescriptions for essential medications.
A prepoured weekly pill box is probably a part of most of our lives....do you bring one in your carry on, or do you have to be able to prove what you have ? We arent talking any narcotics or anything, but blood pressure meds, diabetic meds, etc.

Take RX in their bottle and everything else doesn’t matter. If there is trouble in Africa a good argument and a few $ will solve most any misunderstanding. Don’t over think it. Check out my videos in safari planning section.

I have made 3 trips. Believe me I have a medicine bag! I have all meds including prescription meds(in there original bottles) in one bag inside my carry on. Never an issue. I do also have a daily pill box in my carry on or shirt pocket. Never an issue. I just put it in my carry on when going thru security checks.

Prescriptions should be fine. However, be careful with OTC medicines. CBD oil pills etc. will get you put in jail in some countries.

I have made copies of my Rx’s and retained them in my “important document file” that I travel with. This will scotch me, if checked. However, I’ve never been checked for my drugs/Rx’s. I use the weekly style pill box holders to hold my daily dose of meds. I travel with my med in my carry on luggage. Don’t want me and my daily meds to get separated with traveling.
