I have what may be a silly question. The rules state the winner shall be determined by the closest cumulative score. Does that mean all four scores will be added together and then compared to the actual score total? If so, then I can be WAY off on two (or more) of the animals but still win if they cancel each other out? To put in another way, let's say the actual scores (simply for illustrative purposese) are 55, 38, 26, and 14 inches for a total of 133 inches. If I then guess scores of 130, 1, 1, and 1 inch for a total of 133, do I win (or at least tie)? Or is the winner determined by the cumulative sum of the differences in each of the four scores? With my silly example, my scores are off by 75, 37, 25 and 13 inches, respectively, for a cumulative difference of 150 inches (which I would think should be a losing entry). In the long run I guess it doesn't matter, but I would think the winner would have the best estimate on each animal individually. Just my two cents worth - I am still very grateful for the chance to enter and (hopefully!) win. Thanks.

My best guess

Kudu 51.75
Eland 37.00
Wildebeest 25.25
Warthog 11.25

Thanks for the contest

philheise,

Thank you for bringing this up, a truly valid question, I guess I should have been more clear. The contest will be judged on the closest cumulative score of the difference between the actual measurements and each guess. The idea is that the person who wins should have the closest guesses overall...

For example:

Actual Measurements:
animal ONE: 12
animal TWO: 35.25
animal THREE: 70.50

Person 1:
animal ONE: 13 (difference of 1)
animal TWO: 35.75 (difference of 0.50)
animal THREE: 68.50 (difference of 2)
cumulative score of the difference: 3.5

Person 2:
animal ONE: 11.50 (difference of 0.50)
animal TWO: 36.75 (difference of 1.50)
animal THREE: 68.25 (difference of 2.25)
cumulative score of the difference: 4.25

Person 3:
animal ONE: 13.50 (difference of 1.50)
animal TWO: 32 (difference of 3.25)
animal THREE: 70.50 (difference of 0)
cumulative score of the difference: 4.75

The person in this example who would be the winner Person 1... Hope this clarifies things!

Once again good luck to all.

Jake, Sorry to bug you again. I was wondering if you could share a. couple actual pics of this crossbow with me?

Xpedition Archery USED Scrapeline390X Sniper Gray Crossbow XACW1001 - Light Wear - Needs Bolt/Arrow Guide Spring UA5689

If it is in a decent shape, would you be willing to sell it for $100 shipped? IS it missing the retention spring that goes over the bolt?
Thank you Ferenc

Good morning John, I just read your setup procedure for the northstar duplicator ator. I found it very hand and I did learn some things. I have the same machine and I am having a problem i can not figure out and was hoping you could shed some light on the subject.
