For those attending TTHA in Dallas in January (or anyone else that just wants to attend), we’ll be hosting another @Bos en Dal SAFARIS party at our home on the night of January 10th (Saturday).
This will be the 4th year we’ve done this in our home and 5th year of the annual event (the first one was in a hotel hospitality room during DSC 2022).
Every year has been a marked improvement over the previous years event with mountains of great food available, enough liquor/beer/wine to keep a hundred people busy for a year, and lots and lots of great door prizes and give aways that have ranged from shooting/hunting industry t-shirts and caps to a buff cow hunt, and lots and lots in between (lots of custom knives over the years, lots of very nice optics from leupold, meopta, and others, custom art work, gift certificates and gift cards, etc. etc.).
Typically we have a handful of vendors that have booths at the shows come by as well as a few industry reps that sell everything from ammo to firearms to suppressors to clothing.. it’s a great time to visit with them outside of the show, learn about what their companies are doing, what their new wares are, etc..

Even with all of the snow and ice (absolutely terrible weather conditions) last year we had just under 40 people show up (I’d guess 30+ were AH members).. the year prior, when weather was much more accommodating, we ended up with I think 63 people attending..
It’s a great way to meet a lot of the people you “know” from AH.. I think a few group hunts ended up getting planned last year by people attending, and I know lots of new friendships were forged..
TTHA’s Saturday hours are from 9AM until 7PM.. We’ll open the doors at 8PM (giving myself and @Bos en Dal SAFARIS and a few others that will be working booths at the show a chance to get home before most of the crowd arrives.. the party ends at midnight (you don’t have to go home.. but you cant stay here!
)…
We are on the north end of the DFW metroplex in Allen, TX… Its roughly a 30-35 minute drive from Kay Bailey as long as you don’t hit any traffic problems... it’s a very easy straight shot from downtown to Allen.. Just hop on 75 downtown and take it all the way to Allen.. we’re about a mile off of 75…
More to follow as we get closer to January on door prizes, the menu (I get that many will have eaten before 8PM.. but.. BRING YOUR APPETITES.. theres going to be TONS of food available.. and I have to give my better half credit, she knocks the menu out of the park every year (click the links to the above threads to see)..
Door prizes have already started trickling in.. we’ve got a custom knife already on hand and a promise from a truly great knife maker to deliver another one to give away as a prize before the party… we’ve also got some outstanding safari leather goods (belt, sling, ammo slide, etc) on hand to give away already..
Through the months of November and December the door prize donation pile tends to get pretty high…
As with all previous years, Im not going to put a home address out for all the world to see.. so if interested in attending, just shoot me a PM and I’ll send over an address..
I only ask that if anything changes and you initially say youre coming and then have something come up, that you reconnect and let me know… We want to make sure we have enough food and drink, etc.. we don’t want to plan for 30 and then have 60 arrive.. or plan for 60 and then only have 30 make it..
Ill also go on and apologize in advance.. our house is comfortable.. but it is certainly no mansion.. once we cross about 40-45 people it can get a little crowded.. that said, the more the merrier.. and while we were definitely scrambling the year we had 63 attendees, it was honestly a really great time, and I dont believe anyone really cared much about being shoulder to shoulder with other hunters, AH members, etc..
