This is a Winchester/Miroku reproduction of the Winchester 1886 in 45-70. It is a 28" barrel take down model. Excellent condition. Has a couple of marks on the wood on the right side of the grip just behind the receiver. There are a couple of light spots in the bluing on the bottom of the receiver. Very slight impression in the wood on the right side of the forend, a few inches in front of the receiver. The previous owner told me he had not fired the rifle. I took it to the range a couple of times and shot a small number of rounds. Tight action. I have never taken the gun down and it is a very tight fit against the action. No box or paperwork. $1,500 plus shipping. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks,
Jeff

Thanks very much to the moderator the edits to help me identify the rifle properly. It's SOLD PENDING FUNDS.

I have this same rifle in solid frame. They are sweet!

Buyer can PM me for a possible tip that may help in the enjoyment of the rifle.

Tarbe: that stock blank will never work with a solid frame. If you send it to me I’ll show you why it can only fit a TD.
Oh, darn!

Send me your address and I will get it on the way!!

thanks for your reply bob , is it feasible to build a 444 on a P14/M17 , or is the no4 enfield easier to build? i know where i can buy a lothar walther barrel in 44, 1-38 twist , but i think with a barrel crown of .650" the profile is too light .
