It pains me to list this for sale but here it goes. I bought this Winchester Model 70 Safari Express 458 Win Mag new and sent it off to Back Water Custom Rifles and had Britt Jones convert to 458 Lott. It has been shot less than 20 times and that was for load development and sight in. I intended to take for my DG rifle but life gets in the way. Feeds and ejects smoothly, just the way it should. I have the original box if the buyer wants, if not I’ll ship in a hard case. I also have RCBS dies, a modified case and Lee FCD. Also have enough brass and bullets to last a very long time.

The rifle does not include the sling or scope but will leave the bases if wanted.

Asking $2,500 plus $150 shipping for rifle.

have following bullets:
75 Peregrine Bushmaster 400 grains
45 Swift A Frames 400 grains
44 Woodleigh PPSN 400 grains
47 Speer Jacketed SP 400 grains
82 GS Custom 450 grains

Brass:
100 Norma new
160 Hornady new
35 Federal Nickel that were pulled (primed)

$3,500 for complete package plus $150 shipping. All dies, brass and bullets $1,000 shipped and insured if rifle goes first.

Would like to sell as package deal rifle and all reloading components, will not split up unless someone takes rifle first.

If the Norma brass is available after the rifle sale, I would like to buy. GLWS!

@BnC 04 might just be interested in this.

Nice rifle! Was any other work performed with the conversion? Any glass bedding or trigger work?

No bedding or trigger work. Forgot to mention I have loads for most of the bullets listed above. All shot within 1.5” off sticks at 75-100 yards. I never shot off of bench because of recoil. Don’t know if I kept any of the targets but if I find any I’ll post pics.

Great complete setup for someone looking for a Lott.
I enjoy my greatly!
Good luck on the sale.
If you end up separating some compoments let me know as I can always use more fodder for reloading.

Yeah, because he's hurting for another M70. :ROFLMAO:
Way I figure, if I know how many I have, I don't have enough. Come to think of it, maybe your right....I "may" have a problem:cool:

Someone needs this rifle! I’ll drop price to $2,250 plus $150 shipping on rifle, $750 plus shipping on all reloading supples if rifle sells first package deal of $3,000 plus shipping for everything. Does not include scope or sling. If no interest by first of week I’ll regrettably move to GB. Thanks for looking.

If I could get my 6.5x47 Lapua sold this would be coming to my safe

I'm unfortunately on a diet. Presently in VA hospital as Agent Orange finally caught up with me. Cancer and I no longer can speak. If all goes well I'll be out of here and back home in Thailand by end of July. Tough road but I'm a tough old guy. I'll make it that hunt.

Business is the only way to fly. I'm headed to SA August 25. I'm hoping that business isn't an arm and a leg. If you don't mind, what airline and the cost for your trip. Mine will be convoluted. I'll be flying into the states to pick up my 416 Rigby as Thailand doesn't allow firearms (pay no attention to the daily shootings and killings) so I'll have 2 very long trips.
