Fish Aggregating Device

It's an artificial structure that is anchored offshore in water that is thousands of feet deep and attracts bait fish to school around it and attracts larger fish.

The Chinese first placed them off of the coast of Costa Rica when they were "Leasing" the fishing rights from Costa Rica, some even had bio mass sensors on them that would ping when large enough schools of fish were gathered and the Chinese would send in purse seiners and take EVERYTHING......

They were also screwing over Costa Rica in typical fashion and taking way more than they paid for and Costa Rica got smart and kicked the Chinese out but they left behind the FADs and it became a boom for sport fishing, since then people have placed their own FADs.

You have to go father out, we were planning on going 120mi offshore but only had to go 60 and had a ball.

You sleep on the boat so in the morning you wake up and your in prime fishing ground and not having to burn time riding out to fishing grounds.

Yes it is. A 32 Express.

Knew it. Ran a 305 for darn near 14 years. We now have a 360. I know those gunwales and transom by heart. They will get you to the fish, and back, that's for sure.

After many trips trying to catch a white seabass. Finally my time came, channel islands off the coast of California. Used live squid for bait.

Going to be in Puerta Vallarta 7-11 Aug. Just after the full moon. Any particular company or captain I should fish a day with? Particular species to target? Can we bring frozen fish back from Mexico with us? Appreciate any help.

Just booked a trip to Playa Flamingo for the start of December with the family. Does anyone have a recommendation for a good charter outfit?

My daughter decided she wanted to go to Alaska to get married a couple weeks ago. We managed to get a day on the Kenai as well for the sockeye run. Had a great trip.
We could have caught double but willingly stopped short of our limit of 6 each.

Excellent day planer fishing. Caught seven different species. Bonita, Almaco Jack, Kingfish, Barracuda, Red Snapper, some kind of spotted Grouper, and a Sailfish.

Hello! I saw your post from last year about a missing crate from your hunt in Moz. I am curious how that all turned out? We (my fiancé and I) also hunted in Moz in 2024 and the trophies are being shipped with Hunters Services Limitada. We have some concerns on whether we will get the trophies home or not. May I ask who you hunted with?
