as long as you don't walk around like this
nice gun for the price
I think he at least is using a Steyr.

:Stop: And anyway. Have you ever tried German wine?
Natürlich! Lived and worked there for five years as a young Army officer. I still have a case of sylvaner Bocksbeutels shipped over from Wurzburg about once a year. Regrettably, most of the German wines that we find in this country or not the best.

And you can always use it as a tomato pole - or perhaps for holding up a grape vine would be more appropriate in Germany? :A Outta:
Ouch, very ouch!:confused::rolleyes::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Believe you are right.(y)

Has anyone ever played with the single shot break open rifle they made along with the double?

In this case, in Germany, we perfere to use it as concrete reinforcement...... because we do not want to see it any longer.

:D Cheers:

Checked the Lyman Reloading Handbook 50th Edition, crs recommended in #10.

Does a load, announced for example to 28 000 CUP develope the same chamber pressure as with 28 000 psi?

The Baikal has proof marks for 2200bar/31 900 psi, and should be in the "Marlin class"...isn't it?

HWL

Yes .
In the 45-70 cartridge. cup = psi in all the sources I have found.
In the Lyman manual the Winchester 1886 and Marlin lever actions pressures are recommended not to exceed 28,000 psi. These loads should be OK for your Baikal that is limited to 31,000 psi.

For what it is worth, I am shooting 300 grain hand loads at 13, 000 psi and 1600 fps in my Beretta DR. This is plenty for pigs and deer and is very easy on the shooter.

This is what I am thinking about....

Sometimes, a minimum speed is neccessary, that barrels regulate well....

In Africa for example, I can imagine sufficient power is desirable if you meet the angry one....

Not because you want to meet them, but sometimes, s..t happens.

You are right....

Germans are selfish..... they tend to keep their good stuff and send the junk overseas.

No way out....

You have to visit Germany again, to get in touch with the good things!

Hope to see you soon....

Added anouther 400 € and made a new stock.

It's still not a Holland & Holland, .......but a Stalin & Stalin at least.

Cool, I haven’t used a double but I would. I have a Baikal SxS 12gauge.
It hurts both ends. I hope the Rifle is Better. The new stock looks great.

Provisionally, I mounted a low budget red dot and a low budged scope, just to see how it looks like.

You did nice work on the stock, MUCH better than the shipping pallet wood that comes with the rifle.

I had thought about restocking the one I had years ago but it went down the road as I bought my 405 Double.

Have fun with your double

We have an American expression - something about "painting pigs" ;). Really nice paint however.

Wow, what a great job!

Honestly, that's very impressive. I've seen 'big name' shotguns with less figure.

That said, does it shoot?

Honestly, I do not know.....

I haven't fired a shot yet.

I loaded 300 gr Sierra HP..... and I am looking for a scope and a mount.

I have no idea the shipping cost from here to Costa Rica. I can do my research on shipping and get back with you later today.

I didn't see your request re: ship co’s. My last shipment was 2023. Quotes from SBS Logistics ($1,198), Badger Cargo ($1,184 - used them) & AHG Trophy Shippers ($1,746). AHG owner's an asshole so wouldn't have used him anyway. Eastern Cape - Houston, TX, so your mileage may vary. NEVER use Karl Human Taxidermy aka Wild Africa Taxidermy on Eastern Cape. Trophies arrived shattered with no padding/packing material.
