I would say just left of the green dot and slightly higher. But that is only from studying and not (yet) through hunting elephant myself.

Did he aim on the red spot or is that the impact of a slightly off shot?

I expect we would all try for centre of the head as opposed to to offside.

If know nothing about Elephants but I’ve seen images of the skulls etc so I would read up a lot if I were to hunt one
