Hello All my hunting friends,
This year I brought my first Double Rifle in .470 Nitro Express Rizzini a used Rifle with just iron sights and went to Holland & Holland SHOOTING CINEMA in London England
and fired 98 rounds {in two seperate days} at moving and static Buffalo targets to get confident with the rifle and be able to kill a buff in the field without a worry about getting on target.
I Then contacted my best mate in Afica Jimmy who set me up with a PH called Jan Duman in Hoedspruit in the limpopo region we cut a price and he picked me up from the Airport.
He was wonderful from the day one with a fantasic camp nearby,with a much food and drink in with the deal and the accomadation was stunning.
On my second day out we tracked and stalked a herd of buffalo with a wonderful Dagger boy who was over 40 inches wide with a great hard boss on top and my first shot in the top of the leg was a killer he shook like a jelly on a plate and with a back up shot to the rear when he turned and ran he was stone dead at 25-30 metres away.
Whilst waiting for the last breath from my Buffalo we nearly got charged by another bull but it changed it mind when faced with 4 big guys with 4 big guns including a .600 double rifle,a 500 A Frame rifle,and another big Double .......All you could hear was four safety catches come off to the fire position very exciting and the second buffalo made a wise decision to walk away.
