I know squat about knives....

Won this at a SCI event. Was told it sells for $250. How about $125

Of course if you happen to have a Rigby/Heym/PW in 9.3x62 we could work out a trade :)

Nice mosaic pins. Do you know the maker?

I do not know who the maker was

Take a good close-up high res photo of the maker's mark. Then paste it into ChatGPT and ask who made it.

I tried that for you, but the resolution is too low. The knife could be worth $50, it could be worth $850. In either case, your best bet getting full value is if you can figure out who made it.

Thanks! Here is a close up of the mark:

For me, the value of most "custom knives" are in the realm of the beholder.

The knife that I use the most is a Marble's 80502

I was just pleasantly surprised to learn in was made in the US.

I "won" a custom knife at a silent auction at a fundraiser a few years ago. I like it, but have no idea of what it's actually worth, being made by a local knifemaker who doesn't have a widespread reputation.

There is another local knifemaker who's knives have a touch of "fantasy," made into them.

They may be worth $1,000 or more, but I have absolutely no interest in them.

How long is the blade?

As a leatherworker, it always amazes me how knife makers put these beautiful and often very expensive custom knives into a cheap and nasty sheath....doesn't that sort of quality deserve better ?

Roger

The blade length is perfect for medium to small game.

The steel is 011 and made from 9Cr18MoV stainless steel, which is often considered a Chinese equivalent to 440C steel. It is pre-heat treated and hardened to an RC hardness of 57-59, making it suitable for custom handle addition. New, it might cost $177-$225. The Cordoba handle adds value.....possible to $250. Buck knives uses 440C steel and I've had one of their folding knives since 1972. Respectable steel although Chinese.

See you are from Denmark - see quite a few Danes where I stalk in Scotland - great hunters.
The Harkilia stuff works well in Africa - I have a bit for use here in UK.
I am again looking for 600 Nitro dies preferably RCBS 1 inch. The set I purchased previously are 1 1/2 inch and do not fit my die. Another member has graciously taken them off my hands. If anyone happens to have a set of 600 Nitro Dies that will fit my Rockchucker Supreme RCBS press, please shoot me a message and thanks in advance for any assistance you may have to offer!
I have not posted any items for sale on this forum and will not every put anything for sale. My account was hacked and I've worked with the admin to get things shut down.
