Good afternoon to all. If I am out of line here, I apologize in advance, and I am sure the moderators will give me a whacking if I am.
As many know, my wife and I live in Colombia part of the year. We are here now. Last Monday at about 0730 local time, we were hit by a 7.4 earthquake for 93 seconds. Mama and I were out walking when it hit. Our town suffered no casualties but some older buildings were destroyed. Our building has mild cosmetic damage. However, our rural coffee and plantain farmers were rocked. Help has been pouring in to the major cities but the rural areas are being largely ignored.
A few like minded people that were frustrated with the disinterest in the rural communities formed Apia Renace (Reborn). A little goes a long way here. If you are interested in helping or want more information, let me know.
