Interesting channel featuring the Cobra catcher in the Philippines.
I read somewhere that the Philippine Cobra has the most potent venom of the Cobra species?
He catches King Cobras as well.

A recent hunt in Namibia was rife with a Striped cobra called a Zebra snake, had a few in camp and a killed horse also. They had Jack russels that were good snake dogs. Allowed one of these dogs to sleep in my bed.

When I saw title “Cobra In The Toilet” thought of the story IIRC Capstick? used to tell about a spider in an outhouse. In an effort to get rid of the spider, he burned down the outhouse. :) :)

Have seen cobras along with a few mambas and vipers in Africa but never a cobra in the Philippines. Nor have I run across a sea snake in the Philippines…. and thanks but no thanks! Closest to getting bit by a venomous snake there was by an arboreal viper. Was walking through thick vegetation to a river swimming area and “bumped” into one. They are green and perfectly camo’d. They remind me of a thick-bodied boomslang.

I know a Filipino family on Bohol island who lost their grandfather to the bite of a King Cobra. Crossed paths with it in the dark.
Being it was in the province, and quite a ways to a hospital, and availability of anti venom, the poor old guy never stood a chance

Understandable. :( No quick way from Bohol to hospital in Cebu that might have ability to treat such a bite. Same situation throughout Philippines.

Hi Lance, Hope you well. I collect Mauser rifles and they are very much part of my cultural history in Africa. Would you consider selling the rifle now a year on ? I'd like to place it in my collection of Mauser rifles. Many thx

I saw where you hunted elephant with backcountry safaris in Zimbabwe.
Was looking to book an elephant hunt and wanted to know how your hunt went
and if you would recommend them.

Thanks
Mike
hi, do you know about lions hunters, leopard hunters, and crocodiles hunters of years 1930s-1950s
I'm new to Africa Hunting. I would like to purchase a Heym 450-400 double rifle. I'm left-handed but would prefer a non-canted gun. Is anyone in the community considering parting with theirs?
