416 rigby empty cases (passively looking for dies, if I get a set soon I can load up live ammo for that as I have some bullets for it)

Plenty of 300 Norma Mag empty cases
350 Legend live ammo
need to confirm where it is but I think I have some 300wsm winchester ammo around still

For the rarer ones I can cover shipping for both parties to offset if there is a major value difference, such as with 577 BPE.

Your welcome. The gun i have is chambered in a djrilling with 2 16 guage barrels. Super cool gun. The bullets tumble tho so I need to go on a journey of reloading to see if I can get itnto shoot

While I've never started a cartridge collection, it is a cool idea to exchange here. My one burning question is the cost of shipping a single cartridge to someone. @Safari Dave said he has 19 .458 Lott cartridges available but shipping them out one at a time is going to get very expensive for him unless the receiver is going to agree to cover those shipping costs. Since it is live ammo, it can't go USPS but must be UPS or FedEx. I just shipped someone here on the forum some .223 I sold and the lowest cost shipping was right at $20 FedEx ground which is the only way they will ship ammo.

Just wondering what this is going to cost everyone if you are sending out lots of single cartridge packages to others?

Good luck, hope it all works out. You might want to think about setting up a cartridge exchange session at next year's SCI or DSC AH dinners, that would save shipping if they could be done face to face.

A good thought on shipping costs. I sent a dummy round (not live ammo, just a bullet seated in empty brass) vis usps and it was $8.30. I see on UPS website their extra small (1-100 cubic inches) box flat rate cost is $12.20, which is how I have shipped live ammo in the past.

Much more economical if doing multiple cartridges at once. And the exchange at a meeting place is a good idea if enough people are interested.

When shipping via post office in padded envelopes it cost me 10 bucks per round, kinda silly! But i don't mail stuff often so figured there is a better way.

I was gonna send an empty brass in a regular envelope with postage to see if that works next. But shipping live rounds could get spendy....

I was treating this as a pay it forward and maybe get something in the future. But with postage it may make sense as an exchange so a party doesnt feel too much financial pain.

That being said, members here have been very good to me so I have no problem shipping stuff on my own dime.

For those not wanting to spend a ton of their own hard earned cash could opt for a small venmo.

I actually tried this with my dummy round. I was told by USPS worker their sorting machine would destroy the envelope and possibly the contents if I used a regular stamp because the envelope was too thick. ... Still might try sending one to myself - go put it in a drop box mailing to myself ab empty brass with regular postage and see what arrives. If it fails, I'm out a stamp

I mailed out 2 cartridges wrapped in bubble wrap and inside a bubble envelope and it was around $8. Mine were on the heavy side. One of the slugs itself was 1oz.

Sounds like several of you are pushing the envelope, wrapping up a cartridge and sending via USPS envelope and hoping it doesn’t get Xrayed and confiscated for being a banned item in US mail. I guess the item cost is low enough it’s worth the risk

This was a can I found in an old timers basement reloading room after he died.

What I’m sending is completely inert, no primer, no powder. Can’t speak for others
