Is the maxima hunter still a relevant arrow with today's technology? I can get them for about 6.50 a shaft at a local shop but I know they are a little older tech but half the price of the new carbon express arrows.

The newer tech is mostly marketing. I've taken thos arrows to Africa with no problems. For 6.50 each I'd buy several dozen for the next several years of target practice and whatever hunting I want to do.

I have shot the carbon express maxima hunter 450 for about three years now. I love them, strong and accurate and with some added inserts in the front end I can make them heavy but still get great accuracy. I use them for elk and this past August killed a big mule deer with that shaft. The report is on here somewhere-“USA archery mule deer”or something on those lines. I would buy a bunch of them and not look back.

You hit the nail on the head with the term “marketing”

I agree ....buy a bunch !

Good Afternoon,
How firm are you on your Dakota 416? I am highly interested but looking at a few different guns currently.

Best,
BJ

What is the minimum you would take.

I have a Chapuis 450-400 double that looks brand new and shoots well, never been hunted from what I can tell. I am willing to part with it as I have a 375 H&H Sodia on it's way from Dorleac & Dorleac. I am looking for $9,250 for it and if you are interested, I am happy to send you some pictures. Regards,
Steve
